Antica Salina Iodized Fine White Sea Salt 26 oz

4 things are important when it comes to salt: 1) that it is sea salt. 2) that it has been naturally processed. 3) that it is iodized (your body needs this). 4) that it is fine and not coarse ground. This salt has all of this. I am happy. Container doesn't pour the best, but it's not that big of a deal.

This salt contains E353, which is an anti-caking agent also known as Sodium ferrocyanide. The material safety data sheet says: “Potential Acute Health Effects: Extremely hazardous in case of ingestion. Hazardous in case of skin contact (irritant), of eye contact (irritant), of inhalation... The substance is toxic to blood, lungs, mucosa membranes."

Excellent for cooking and a little goes a long way because it is very, very fine. But be careful, you will need less of this than of conventional sea salt, which is much coarser.

This is the second time I've bought Antica Salina Iodized Fine White Sea Salt. I've been pleased with the consistent quality of this product and I will continue to purchase it in the future.

It's a milder and lighter salt. Great for cooking and salads.

Was introduced to this brand during a visit to Sicily and have been using it for years. It has more flavor than other sea salts I tried previously. I pour the entire container in a canister, salt shaker, etc., and use the coarse grain for salt grinders.
