Works great
This is well made brass. The foot valve works well and holds pressure. Glad I bought it.

Tighten Your Hose Clamps!
I originally gave this a 1-star review, because it wouldn't hold prime. But I double-checked my connections, and the hose clamps at the fitting going into the foot valve were a little loose. After I tightened them, it's been working great!

Excellent foot valve
Works perfectly drawing water from lake through shallow well pump to water lawn. Pump produces 50 ft diameter circle of water at a lift of 25 feet from pump. I laid valve on cement pad that helps keep it out of the mud and free of vegetation in lake from blocking water flow. Attached foot valve to 1 1/2 inch flexible hose to pump ( bought sump pump hose at Menards 25 ft for $6)
