Great razor! It’s precise, comfortable and the angle of the body tapers into a natural hold and shave once you lay it on your skin. My only recommendation for future iterations is less cutesy colors, and more on the stainless steal long lasting look, only time well tell how the paint holds up, as I prefer the stainless look and feel especially for after shave cleaning and maintenance.Overall great and very usable

Great razor. For me that cut my own hair. It's very helpful having the Exposed razor. Also it's super light and very well made.

I love a good slide out razor, the Dynasty has a nice vintage color, I like the blade exposure,I’d say it’s solid razor at a fair price for professional or at home use.

The media could not be loaded. I want to leave up the old review and pics to comment on the VAST improvements they have made to this razor since I left my 1 star. Customer service reached out to me and offered me a new replacement razor that they had tweaked and improved. It is SO much better. The blade is much more secure. The slide, although it doesn’t technically lock, does not move anymore while shaving, so that’s the most important improvement they made. Although still light, it feels sturdier and more well constructed as well. The only reason for my 4 instead of 5, is that the blade sticks out a little too far for me, but from what I’m told they have a model that exposes less blade, so maybe I’ll try that one! Overall, I really like the updates and improvements, and their Customer Service can not be beatThere is no lock on the blade, so it keeps sliding back and forth while you’re trying to shave. It’s just a very loose slide with two bumps to rest the blade on, but no tension to keep the blade or the sliding blade holder in place. The result is a TON of slices all over your face as the blade slides back and forth. There is NO WAY to keep the slide in place. Terribly regret buying this, just wish I hadn’t missed the return window. Would give 0 stars if possible. I am NOT new to straight razors, and this by far the least stable. If you trust a razor after a video showing simple shaking of it throwing the blade out, then that’s on you y’all ✌🏼

After years of using a safety razor, I finally decided to try to learn to use a straight razor. I began my search on Amazon and that’s where I found Gravity. I received my shavette in quality packaging. They also provided a few blades to start with. Set up was easy with the included instructions and even a QR code to link you to how to videos. Almost 5 months of owning it I have had no issues.This has been a great razor to start with.

At first I really loved this razor, especially the color (Dynasty green). I really enjoyed how light the razor was, as it was really easy to hold and maneuver, and the exposed blade was helpful in seeing exactly where you were cutting.However, the fact that the razor was so light meant I had to use a little more pressure when shaving, and the extended blade was sometimes difficult to maneuver in tight areas, such as under the nose. This led to the occasional nicks. Furthermore, the metal insert (where the blade rests) began sliding out of the handle, meaning I had to adjust my hand position to keep the insert in place while I shaved, and that contributed to the nicks.Overall, while I initially loved this razor, I found I had to use another straight razor with a little more heft for my needs. I gave the razor to a friend who enjoys using it, so it wasn't a total loss. If the insert had remained stable, I may have kept it.

I bought this with the sole intention of touching up the edges to my beard and mustache. I would personally not use it to entirely shave off my facial hair, but out of sheer curiosity I did use it once to shave my chest hair - and it worked exceptionally well. Once the razor starts to pull, I swap it out, and it does the job perfectly. For reference, I never use shaving cream. I either use hot water to soften my hair or just use the blade dry (after a quick alcohol disinfect). The durability has been good because I keep it in the case it came in. It's not stored in a container full of corrosive disinfectant, it's not stored loosely in some drawer, etc. I have taken care of it, and it takes care of me. Simple as that.
