I was puzzled by some of the outdated info in here, like various people who have passed away in the last 5 years still listed as alive, then I checked the publication date and saw that this book was from 1992. A lot of advances in the treatment of STD's have happened in the last 20 years.It is a fascinating book. there were more than a few "People get off on THAT?" moments as well as a lot of "That's not unusual, that's one of my favourites!" reactions.Ms. Love looks a lot better in the picture with her Wikipedia entry than she does on the back cover, too.

this book fills in gaps that may exist or it just might answer that ticklish question always had hoped to get an answer well finally somebody has gone and done that and to them my hats off

This book covers quite broadly sexual behaviour in humans but I can't help feeling there is probably more to be said. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to broaden their understanding of sexuality. Be warned though, some content is disturbing.

A truly mindboggling and enjoyable read.

You have to get this book! Especially if you're in any kind of adult business! You'd be amazed at what you'll find within! My friends love to pick it up and open to a random page. lol. It has brought me lots of laughs and fun and education!

This is a wonderful book for me and my girlfriend. She has helped me be “Putty” in her hands. With this book it gave us a chance to look at more things to try with each other. We both love to experiment and this book will help give you good ideas. It explains many different types of “Unusual” sex practices. But what is “Unusual” to us it is something that someone is scared to try with their current partner but if they could they would. I know this first hand with my partner. She has opened the door to many types of “Taboo sex”. If you are fortunate enough to have someone who will travel the journey with you take this book with you. Kind of sort of sightseeing for sex, hot and wild sex. Use the book for what you want to get you there. Forget about waiting for your next magazine for tips, get the book and really set the sex on volcano HOT! Let the kink factor run full power. What do you have to lose? Even if you don’t get too much out of it, let it set on the coffee table and watch your guests get crossed eyes!

Very informative on what people do and possibly why they do it? A very interesting and informative book of different cultures and how they may prictice their beliefs and sexual practices.

Hilarious!!!!Some of the things in this book are .... eye opening to say the least! Really funny!

I bought this book hoping for a bit more depth to a topic i was interested in (why some men are attracted to prgnant women, if anyone wants to know) and while i didnt find much more in here than i had found elsewhere, it has certainly made for some interesting reading and has definately broadened my mind more than i thought possible. It has everything from mainstream practices to the most obscure things that i sometimes couldnt even imagine a person doing. It's very comprehensive if not highly detailed. A good starting point for anyone interested.

This reference guide to all the weird and wonderful things people do behind closed doors is very well-referenced and written quite clinically; if it wasn't for the subject matter it would be almost dry. Not a guidebook, though-some of these should not be attempted at all.Worth a read and the bibliography leads you to further sources for sexual 'research'

I bought this as a 'Secret Santa' gift for someone who would appreciate it and take it for what it is - a good toilet read.Was opened and talked about for several hours before being squirreled away into a bag as it was causing too much of a stir as people tried to find out the most 'unusual act'.Its not all unusual though and the vast majority of the book has lots of common practices and definitions of the norm ...

I Thought the book of unusual sexual practices by Brenda Love was/is a fantastic read! I find it fascinating read, I particularly liked reading about the different ways people can get sexual gratification from just about anything!Only thing I would say though, never mention you've read or own a copy of this book to anybody, they'll think your a bit "Nutty" (Sorry Brenda Love, no offence to you, although I personally think its one of my favourites! Mates of mine just think I'm totally mad for buying your book!)
