Bird LED Blue Night Light Bulb for Parrot Night Fright Calming - Pack of 2

One of our parrots started having night frights it seemed. I would be in bed and hear him fall from his perch in the middle of the night. We got a nightlight and put this bulb in it and positioned it in the room near his cage and haven't heard him fall at night since! The bulb creates a nice soft glow in the room without illuminating the room too much.

This is a chandelier sized bulb that needs an adapter in order to fit in a regular socket. I used mine in a hooded socket and switch it out with a UVA/UVB during the day. Because the adapter screws in the same way as the bulb, be careful not to screw it in too tight or you'll end up leaving the adapter behind in the socket, and it was tough to remove with the hood in the way. Five stars if this were E27 socket-sized.The bulb gives off just enough illumination so my baby grey can find her way back to her perch in the dark. She knows when she sees me bring the bulb out that it's time to go to sleep. It took a couple of days for the older parrots that are used to sleeping in the dark to get accustomed to it, but everybody knows now that when the blue light comes on, it's time to settle down.

This bulb works very well for my elderly cockatiel who suffers from night terrors. I have had this bulb on for 24 hours a day for over a year and have not had any night terrors as long as the bulb was on. I expect these two bulbs will last me 4 years or more.
