YES IFF-- My understanding is if you buy the Mansions of Madness Second Edition base game - there is a conversion kit included in that, which would let you use a lot of the stuff from the 1st edition of Mansions of Madness. So if you pick up the base game again (2nd Ed) and this (expansion) - those to use the App (for which you need a tablet) - and the conversion kit from the 2nd Edition base game will let you use parts from the 1st edition of the Mansions of Madness base game.

Does it come with extra standees for the new mobs?

The mobs consist of three enemy figurines that are placed onto a Large stand. The stand is similar in size to the one for larger monsters.
