I have been using test strips for years & it was getting annoying!!! I was so excited when I saw this pH meter device! This pH meter is super easy to use. Once you calibrated, which was no problem, it gave me an accurate reading for my fish aquarium. I checked it against the strips and it was right on the money....with MUCH less annoyance than the strips! With the strips I was having trouble telling which color it was. With this pH meter, checking your pH is a dream & so worth buying one! You will love the accuracy & simplicity of this meter!!!

I purchased filtered alkaline water delivery and wanted to test it along with my tap water and under sink filter water.I ordered this because my old test strips were showing everything to be acidic.So I purchased new test strips & this device. This item works very well and is easy to use. Turns out my tap water although unfiltered was reading at 7, my filtered water was acidic in the 6 range and the filtered alkaline water delivered to my cooler was almost a 9. Iam satisfied now. good device to have.

The power provided to calibrate the device is nice and easy to use. However it doesn't tell you how long they are calibrated for and how to obtain more powder to calibrate at a later time. we use on the hot tub and spa to check the PH levels.

I have been making kombucha for some time now. With the changing weather and constant fluctuation of degrees in my house, it was really hard to catch the fermentation at the right stage. Also, I dry fast during the day and do not break until dinner. Having to test the kombucha during many cycles of fermentation, always would break my fast! I was looking for something foolproof to help me get my kombucha to the right place. The test strips were always iffy. I was not able to really get an accurate reading on what PH was. I tried this and have not been disappointed! I also like that I can test my drinking water! The calibration was not the easiest because you have to use a certain type of water which sent me on a goose chase but other than that, I can't complain. Also, I read some reviews that caution against using powdered solutions and water versus buying an actual pH premixed solution. I haven't had any trouble though. For what I'm using this for, it works for me!

Couldn't get it to calibrate properly with the ph4 solution. This was my first time using one of these, and I didn't know it had to be calibrated. Better instructions or troubleshooting tips could have been useful.

Purchased this device. I thought it was working but after a few uses realized it wasn't even close. Went through the calibration routine in the instructions Will not calibrate. Reads all ph levels as the same. Even distilled water vs the calibration packets. Tried several times. Says its warranted for 1y r but there is no way to contact the seller and I'm outside the amazon return window. Don't purchase this. Devices fail, but when you can't even reach the seller its a bad buy.

I bought this to test the pH of our water, and I'm so glad I did! I've been putting it off, because lots of pH readers are pricey, but this one seemed to have great reviews for a great price!Overall, this tool is easy to use and works really well. If you have any questions about your water, definitely get this pH meter!!

Ph tester is easy to use, and there is instructions with recalibration powder. NEEDS DISTILLED RINSE FIRST per instructions. I just wanted to get that across because if you're like me, you don't have that laying around at home. It says to recalibrate whenever uaed a lot of for precise measurements. I'd say it needs recalidration right out the box as mines has the. 002 measure right out the box. The actual reading can take 1 minute before the number settles. Sometimes it measures fast, other timesph pool ph tester is best to leave it in the solution for awhile. Overall it's good for keeping track of your ph and testing you water systems.
