Clean Sound, Great Price, and Solid Protection Plan!
Wasn’t expecting these to sound this clean. The bass is definitely there, but it’s not overhyped or muddy — just tight and balanced. Mids and highs are crisp too, which is what I really wanted. Everything comes through nice and clear without getting drowned out.I scored these at nearly half off — crazy deal. And because I saved that much, I had enough left to grab the Protect Plus 3-Year Plan. That covers accidental drops, spills, and even mechanical/electrical breakdowns after the manufacturer warranty ends. If something goes sideways, they repair or replace it — no drama. For headphones I’m using daily, that kind of peace of mind is a no-brainer.Mic quality is surprisingly solid too. I’ve used it for calls, Discord, and meetings — everyone said I came through clear without that muffled or cheap Bluetooth mic sound. Not studio quality, but way better than I expected for this price. They’re lightweight and super comfortable — no clamp fatigue, even after long sessions. I’ve worn these for hours at a time without needing a break. One feature I really like is the ability to stay connected to both my phone and my PC at the same time. No need to keep switching back and forth — it just handles both seamlessly. I can take a call on my phone, then go right back to music or Zoom on my desktop without touching anything.Bluetooth vs wired? Here’s how it works: when you use them over Bluetooth, you get everything — active noise cancelling (ANC), transparency/ambient mode, touch controls, built-in mic, auto on/off, and voice assistant support. But the second you plug in a 3.5mm cable, the headphones switch to passive mode — meaning all of that shuts off. No ANC, no transparency mode, no touch controls, no mic, no auto on/off. You basically just get basic wired audio like old-school headphones. It still works in a pinch, but you're giving up all the smart features. That’s why I mostly roll wireless — it’s just a better experience.Battery life is excellent — I’ve been getting about 40 hours with ANC off, and 30+ hours with it on. It charges back to full in around 2 hours. Plus, it’s got auto on/off when you unfold or fold the headphones, which helps conserve battery and adds to that premium feel.Bottom line — clean sound, smart features, solid mic, long battery life, lightweight and comfy, and backed by a strong warranty. And at nearly 50% off? No regrets. If you see it on sale, jump on it.

Very comfortable and just big enough for my head. essential for air travel
Sound is amazing and everything else about the feel while wearing these headphones supports that. My head is just above average size for a male and I have to extend the band all the way out so these may not fit my larger noggin friends. I wear these all day for work and have no complaints of comfort. I have switched to using a separate microphone for audio quality while working as the "headset mode" of these and others in this category degrades the audio quality and the mic quality is honestly just "OK." For this reason I have disabled the "headset" input and output so my computer can use the "Headphones" as the output and I can use an audio interface or a simple USB mic for my input. with this setup, my input quality is unbeatable, and I get the benefit of the premium sound quality of these headphones as well. When connected to my phone I just have to deal with the degraded quality for phone calls and the audio auto switches when listening to music/videos/etc. controls take a little to get used to and activating Siri has been the hardest for me, but honestly not too bad since I really don't use this feature very often. I have used these headphones on airplanes multiple times now and I find myself just wearing them without any audio just for the comfort and noise cancelling effect. I am always shocked at how loud the plane is when I take them off to give my drink order (1st world problem...?). love these headphones and would recommend them to anyone.

Great headphones at a great price
The headphones came in a sealed box- looks like factory sealed. Came with all apparently original accessories and documentation. No flaws on the headphones. If this hadn't been sold as renewed I would have thought it was brand new.The headphones replace a cheaper Cowin set- they were ok but the difference in sound is quite clearly better with the Sony.Battery charged to full in under 3 hours. The only issue I had was with using the headphones via bluetooth on my computer (Dell Inspiron 15 7000), there was some stuttering- none at all when using my Samsung Android phone. Searching the internet I saw that others had this problem. It could be because I use wireless mouse and keyboard, although there was no issue with the Cowin or another set of older Sony M3 headphones, seems to be particular to the M4. This doesn't happen if I use the computer bluetooth while simultaneously connecting the phone bluetooth- go figure. Also can use wired to computer with no issue.Anyway, overall I think these are great headphones.Update 03/06/22: Another solution to the bluetooth stuttering problem, go into sound settings and change "Choose your input device" from "microphone" to "headset" this seems to help.Still loving the sound.

Excellent Value - Great Sound, Battery Life, and Portability
I love these XM4 headphones! I've tried the XM5 and XM6 models, and honestly, the sound quality is nearly identical. While the XM4s are slightly less comfortable than the newer versions, they more than make up for it in other areas.Compared to the Apple AirPods Max, I found the XM4's sound and connection with my iPhone to be a bit behind - but still very good overall. The connection is stable, the battery life is fantastic, and the multi-device connect feature is super useful when I need to switch between two devices seamlessly. One of the biggest advantages of the XM4 is its practicality - it folds up much smaller than the newer models, making it a better option for travel or storage.Overall, this is a great product. If you're looking to save some money while still getting premium performance, I’d definitely recommend the XM4!
