Game changer
Extremely easy to install. Very clear view. Aesthetically appealing as well. I couldn't see through my old one and was dreading another "project" but I literally just unscrewed the old and screwed in the new.

A Must Have for Entry Doors!
I had a steel entry door installed where the company recommended this same peep hole. It was purchased and installed by the company and looks/works great. I have vision problems but can clearly see through this peep hole without difficulty. I loved it so much I wanted one installed on my front entry door. Now here’s where it becomes interesting. I researched the item at local big box stores then Amazon to find that it cost half the price of the big box stores. Same manufacture, size, color, etc. Placed my order at Amazon, arrived next day, paid a handyman to install, and best of all never had to leave my home to get things done. This is a beautiful, quality made, and highly functional peep hole at a great price. If you want to save money buy it from Amazon and NOT the big box stores!

Very nice product, works great! Make sure you know what kind of door you have!
Very easy to install in terms of the actual product and very clear view outside. Now I did make 1 mistake in drilling the hole. I bought a drill for a wood door and it didn't work out because my front door is metal! I did not know this. So I made a mess of things initially before I realized something was wrong. My fault completely. I love how this door peeper has such a great clear and wide view. From outside in, you cannot see anything as well. I don't know if there are reverse door peeper tools that someone can use, but if there is, they'd only get a view of the stairway...so I'm not worried. To tighten the peephole, I used a quarter and it worked.

Broke during install.
It broke during installation as I was trying to tighten it for proper/flush seating of outer lens. I bought it because I painted my door and I believe the classic brass color would look great. The style and look of it are really nice but broke too easily.

much better clarity than prior of quality reputation brand
i remember back when i picked my last peep hole and picked the best vlarity onbthe floor. this is notably clearer. i replaced cause i got alcohol on the lense, and thinking it was dust causing smudge used more alcohol on a q-tip and clearly fouled some coating and it gave it a cataract of sorts. new one had a visible imperfection of centering from the outside and only by my over analyzing on the inside very edge only along the edge, and considering that is still far better & wider than a common 3 or so brands at a big local store. its true, 180 is full view requiring glass to be above any rim, so shame on everyone selling 220° views. yeah we at first hear a bigger # and fall for it, which i'm sure is why its common. but i wish we'd go back to a more litteral society. anyhoo, nice! i put a small bead around base edge before tightening as i live in a rather humid climate. Wont see till tomorrow if i marred it any with fingers on it installing and a microfiber cloth. it look like maybe but it could be dust from the cloth sitting a week or two after washing. In other words, I overthink everything and still like it. great analog solution.
