It works but it can be a bit sloppy
It worked for measuring and marking angle cuts on 2x6 deck boards. However, it seemed that no matter tight I got the “hold angle knob”, there was a degree or two of slop. That is to say, unless I was very carful to not touch anything with the angle gage, the gage would move a degree or two of angle. Like most things we buy from China nowadays, nothing is perfect. It’s usable for measuring angles but you have to be careful how you use it.

After zeroing this each time I checked it against three different squares on each square it measured 90.35 degrees to 90.40 degrees.
