Greek: An Intensive Course, 2nd Revised Edition

Great delivery, on time, good condition. The style of teaching is however quite desiccated.
This style of teaching belongs to an earlier era but for those like me used to that, although learning Ancient Greek is the language equivalent of scaling K2, very careful use of this book, preferably after learning Modern Greek for two years in order to become acclimatised to the “thin air” of different letters at ‘base camp’ will equip you well.

It is very intensive so you have to be dedicated to get the best out of it.
My main criticism is that the Greek text is too small making it hard to distinguish υ and ν or κ and χ. And the accents are also hard to read.

Not the book I ordered
I ordered this as it was highly recommended on a Greek language learning blog site but when it came it was the appendix to the book and not the book itself. It is still useful but I was disappointed as the photograph and information on amazon were deceptive.

EXCELLENT but Heavy and intensive indeed
The title says it all, I must say .. Yes, it is very well done, black and white, no glossy paper nor colours here .. and yes, it is INTENSIVE .Not sure that would be my main textbook for studying Classical Greek on my own (Athenaze is my favorite ..) BUT, this is a good textbook, that can be used as an extra tool for learning. Each chapter comes with.. vocabulary, grammar very thoroughly explained and exercices. Now, Even if all the book does not provide the keys answers to the exercices, what it does have, is.... every 4 or 5 chapters, a Self evalutation corrected test. That does help immensely as, you do know whether you have mastered thegrammar and vocabulary you ve been studying so far.A good investment and definitely a very complete textbook..
