Arrived damaged but worth the price when intact!
I was going to buy the Roland FP30x but the matching stand was never in stock. I was also hesitant about the key feel on the Roland. I decided to spend a little more and go with the Kawai for the full wooden keys and the better key action. It was totally worth it. The piano voices are spectacular and the feel of the keys is one of the better acoustic replications I have experienced. Assembly was straightforward. The “bench” is comfortable and sturdy but not winning any beauty contests (it is functional). Mine arrived in what appeared to be proper working order. The box wasn’t damaged and after assembly, there wasn’t any visual indication that something was wrong… until I tried to close the keyboard cover. The gears on the back of the cover were grinding and it wouldn’t move. I opened the piano and saw that the rod the gears are on was severely bent on both ends (I can’t imagine what did this as the rod is pretty stout). I took the gears off the rod and pressed each end in a vice to straighten it. After reassembling, the cover rolls smoothly. I would absolutely recommend the Kawai CA pianos.

Kawai CA-49
Well packaged. Very Heavy. The packaging without the piano is itself heavy. Easy to assemble. Everything fit nicely with no issues whatsoever. The sound quality is fantastic. This upright digital piano is a steal.

Fantastic digital piano for the price
The effort that Kawai has put into the piano sound is phenomenal. The action (grand feel compact) is a huge upgrade from the plastic action in my Yamaha P-115. I forget that I’m playing a digital piano sometimes. Love it.

Excellent piano but came broken
We bought this piano after extensive research. We were debating between ES8 and CA48. Wanted the wooden key feeling. So, wanted to go with CA48. Then we realized that a new model was just launched and we went ahead and bought it. We love the quality of the piano but realized that it came broken. Will contact Adorama and see what they can do. Overall excellent piano but came broken.

A great purchase
We looked at several brands of digital pianos and chose this one because of the concert magic feature. Our grandchildren love to make music and our children also get a kick out of using the concert magic mode.

Amazing feel and headphone sound but low quality speakers
The sound through the headphones is fantastic and you can customize the timbre, positioning of sound, type of dynamics and so forth. The feel of the keys is close to real. However -- the speakers are not up to par. It just seems like they threw any old thing in them. Muddy, unbalanced. My Yamaha 163 was 5x as nice as far as speaker quality. Maybe someone from Kawai can comment on this.

Absolutely Beautiful
I am still a beginner, but wow...this digital piano sounds and looks amazing! Packaged immaculately, not a scratch on it, and the keys feel amazing! I included a photo of the box it arrived in with specs of 28.5D x 21H x 57.5W incase you have a small entryway. Please note: If the piano volume sounds really low at first, you must adjust the "touch" function and set it to "off" (if you're not concerned with making higher or lower sounds based on your physical input). I am a complete amateur and didn't realize I was pressing the key so lightly that it in turn made the sound softer as a result. If you're thinking about treating yourself to this beauty, I highly recommend.
