I really cannot say enough great things about these pencils. First check out the pouch that they come in! It makes choosing a color a breeze as you don't have to sort through a box or worry about the pencils rolling off onto the floor and breaking.The actual pencils are divine... they go light to dark, allowing for a simple tint to a steady strong color. Add a little water and it POPS!.Several other brands I've tried gave more of a washed out look or you had to use a really heavy hand in order to get more color.These though... you can use them alone or with other types of mediums to give you a variety of looks. Use dry, blended, w/ water, or any other way - you are only limited by your imagination :o)Great customer service only makes this product better.I have had to bring them into work 3 times now so that my coworkers could see/use them. Three of them are already ordering a set for themselves!

This is an outstanding product. I normally buy professional quality art supplies but really did not want to spend $75-$100 on water color pencils. These come with in wonderful shades of colors - several shades of blues, purples, greens, reds, yellows, orange, brown, black. They color smoothly and have bright, vivid color when wet with a paintbrush. For more intense color, use a wet paint brush to pick up the color at the tip of the pencil and paint with that. The assortment of colors is really enough to make you feel not limited when you color and of course you can layer different colors.It comes with a holder to extend the pencil when you get down to a small nub, sharpener and eraser. It comes with 2 very thin, cheap paint brushes. You should get your own. My brush of choice is flat but cut diagonally at an angle. The bristles are not too soft, so that way you can pick up the color from the tip of the pencil more easily. To make it easier for yourself if you want to color in a more portable way, look for "water color brush pen" which is a plastic hollow pen that you fill with water and can use like a brush. You will want a set with a fine point.The case does roll up nicely and the set is not too heavy for packing on taking on a trip.

These are by far the most AMAZING colored pencils I've ever used. I'm blown away by their blend ability, how easy one color is layered over another to create new colors and the variety of color this set has. I'm also impressed with how the pictures I color change with the simple brush stroke of a damp blending paintbrush. I've never had more fun coloring in my entire life.The company has been fabulous to work with. They sent me coloring pages, techniques on using watercolor pencils, how to blend, and so much more. The owners take pride in their product - which is very clear in how quickly they respond to questions/emails etc. It's rare to find such great service.I'd recommend these pencils and this company time and time again without hesitation. These are fabulous colored pencils! the best part was the 1st set I ordered had several broken tips. I contacted the company and they were very responsive. Immediately sent me out a new set and kept in touch with me to be sure I liked the new set. They also spent time educating me about colored pencils, their use, care, etc. these pencils lay down color very well and the colors are vibrant. There is also a wide range of colors. I was very impressed with this company because you rarely get that type of customer service anymore. I will definitely order from Colorarty again! I highly recommend!

After having some minor issues and posting so here, I recieved an immediate response, not only that, they sent me a new replacement set in less than 24 hrs. As stated before this is a really nice set and I have completed a few projects with satisfaction. Colors beautiful, blending,shading good. Color me impressed and Thank You Colorarty/Amazon!

This was my first set of water color pencils, since purchasing these I have tried other sets looking for more colors but I always go back to these. The quality and vibrant colors when used with water are unsurpassed. The pencils are sharpened to a fine point when you first get them and they hold that shape very well even when used with water, this makes them perfect for fine details in many pictures in the adult coloring books I've purchased, and they come with their own sharpener and eraser. They come in a nicely made sturdy roll up case making them easy to carry if you move from inside to out or room to room as I often do. I don't write many reviews, hardly any actually, but this company has amazed me over and over with their impeccable customer service, from emailing instructions on how to keep your pencils in good shape, different ways of using the case, to explanations on the best ways to hold and use the pencils to get the best color possible. They clearly care about the customer and their product. I could go on and on about the company, it's important, but people should know that the pencils are great used dry or with water Though once you've used them with water it is hard to go back to using them dry. have recommended this product to many friends already and will continue to do so, it's great!
