Great lamp, great customer service, app…ehhh
Had about 8 months. Fantastic lamp. Lots of mounting options, lots of power, easy to set up schedule, etc. GREAT customer service with Kessil. They WILL return your email, usually the same day. That’s one of the main reasons I spent the money 🤷🏻♂️ Only gripe- Ugg the app. It seems to have a mind of its own but if I am patient it magically seems to reconnect. I reached out to Kessil and they gave me a workaround but I’m not sure I understand it lol. There is a little doohickey you can buy or just do it manually on the lamp but honestly I hope Kessil just adds Bluetooth and a dongle at some point cause the WiFi is a pain in the ass . Fortunately it only happens once or twice a month and like I said, it just seems to reconnect eventually. I restart my phone 🤷🏻♂️yep turn it off and back on. That works sometimes. At any rate, the lamp itself is the poo. My corals are very happy and the coral algae is blowing up everywhere.

One of the cleanest and nicest lights of it's category at a median price point.
Beautiful light, very nice/durable stand. I moved from AI to Kessil and could tell immediately that the spectrum was wider and the included shimmer that Kessil is known for is aesthetically pleasing. It's a tad on the expensive side when compared to basic AI 16's, but as is with reef tank lighting, good lights are one of the priciest components of the tank. The stand allows quite a bit of adjustments and I was able to mount it diagonally and achieve the positioning I was looking for. The only caveat I have is that in order to change any of the settings, you need to connect to the lights Wifi, it doesn't connect to yours, so it's not as easy as going into the app and changing anything. Otherwise, beautiful light and will purchase again.

Spectacular shimming Tuna Blue light for Salt Water reef aquarium
I was able to unbox this, connect it to wifi using the Kessil app on my Google Pixel 7 android phone in a few minutes, install it on the back of my 500 liter RedSea salt water reef tank, and then activate the Tuna Blue schedule that ramps up lighting automatically in the morning then peaking mid-day before tapering off at night for stunning results!

Kessil light was not too bad
Great light. Only issue is its so hard to figure out the wifi connection. Once you get that its a nice light. Sleek design i like it.
