ASD friendly!
My 8 y/o is autistic and he came home asking me to buy him these because his new occupational therapist introduced him to these and he LOVED them!! He absolutely dislikes writing and struggles to hold pencils, but with these pencils he is writing faster and neater. He’s also obsessed with the engineering of them! 10/10

Last a long time, great for grasp training
Use these with my special needs students, they really help transitioning away from palming a pencil and the kids are motivated to use the “rocket” pencils. They usually pick the erasers off but that’s ok. I have several that I’ve had 2 years now and aside from the erasers being picked off they still work perfectly for writing. I have only refilled once for the two year ones, they last and the leads are thick enough none of my kids have ever broken one but they don’t make unreasonable thick marks for working on writing in kindergarten and first grade sizing.

great for weak or bony hands
i like to journal occasionally and when i do it’s usually pages long. I also like to sketch and having long, bony fingers that hyperextend, they hurt after 15 minutes of writing. these have helped so much, and are comfortable. i’d recommend for any age.

Nice design, but has some inconveniences
I am a handwriting tutor and I'm always on the lookout for tools to help my students. One family said they couldn't use removable pencil grippers, so I bought some of these to try.I like the design. When held properly, the pencil does promote proper finger placement. It even fits my hand (though it would be tough for an adult with wider fingers). I like that it's one piece. That will make it a bit more convenient to use consistently, I think. The cons: - I don't really like that you have to have special leads for it. It would be great if you could use a more standard mechanical pencil lead. Also, while the leads aren't too difficult for an adult to change, I think a child would struggle with it. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but looking ahead to classroom use, that might be a challenge. The eraser is a bit awkward to use, in my opinion, but it does erase well.I bought a set of 4. Three were fine, one wouldn't hold a lead. It didn't look broken, but clearly there was something wrong with it.

The refill lead does not fit
The pencils are good and kids like them. Except one broke after a few times of use. The thing that bothers me the most is the refill lead doesn’t fit at all!
