FirstChoiceCandy Jordan Almonds (5 Pound, Baby Blue & White)

These were very fresh tasting, with no "old oil" smell and no mealiness or stiffness in the almonds. The candy shell is pretty thick, but not a hard candy. It's easy to bite through and won't break your teeth. But these are not the type with the thin, crisp shell if that's what you're looking for. I got the 5-pound bag, which made it a very good unit cost value. The bag has a zip-lock reseal strip. I got all-white, and the color consistency was very good. The almonds are all approximately equal size. There is a subtle vanillin flavor (these use artificial flavor rather than real vanilla), but it is not overwhelming. Mostly just sugar and almond. I'd get these again.

Very good tasting and an amazing deal for the price

Yum! These tasted fresh. They were hard (as expected), but I wasn’t worried I’d chip a tooth on them (a pleasant surprise, I may have only had old ones in the past). I’m impressed with the quality, as well. Very few were chipped or otherwise aesthetically not perfect (specifically, maybe 10 individual almonds looked broken or slightly imperfect out of 20 lbs of almonds). I think they’re a great value.

I purchased these Jordan almonds for my daughter’s 16th birthday party to place in small trays as table decorations. We were very excited when they arrived, as they looked nice and were exactly what we wanted for the décor. Unfortunately, once we tasted one, we were extremely disappointed. They are extremely hard — hard enough that I was genuinely worried they could break a tooth. On top of that, they did not taste good. These were meant to be enjoyed by guests, but there’s no way I could safely serve them. I would not recommend these at all. Save your money and do not buy.

I just ordered this item again aa I ate the last of the first bag a few minutes ago. Jordan almonds are hard to find locally. These particular ones are pretty large and pretty hard. There are a few softer and smaller ones but most are going to make you work to crack that shell. I keep worrying I will crack a tooth! Well 2 pounds down so far so good. I don't know that anyone should eat 2 pounds of sugar coated almonds. That can't be good for you. But when you want some jordan almonds, these fit the bill. Hopefully my teeth will hold up for the next bag!
