Just what I wanted
I do stream a lot of my music but wanted something for the kitchen so I could play my cds or listen to the radio while cooking and I was looking, for something small and portable to take around the house while I am cleaning. This fits the bill to perfection, the sound quality is great, it is very easy to work, almost self-explanatory and it is compact too, taking up very little space on the worktop. I have been enjoying going through my cd collection (I refuse to get rid of them!) and rediscovering things I have not listened to for ages. The usb feature is useful too, all in all, a very good buy

great sounding CD player!
bought for my daughter who is off to Uni this year and wanted a CD player. I didn't want to spend a fortune and found that in my price range the CDs reviews were awful. I came across this one on Amazon and I know Robertson is a good name so I checked out the reviews and chose this one! so glad I did, it looks great and most importantly the sound is really clear with a good volume range. Handy to have the DAB radio too. She is very pleased with it! Its good quality and a fair price. It arrived really quick too! - thankyou!

Good product with one caveat.
It is a small, fairly solid piece of kit and is easy to set up. It was mainly bought to quickly slip on a jazz or classical cd when working in my study, garage or studio as well as to easily tune into to use DAB and FM of course. Every aspect works well so far. I obviously did not expect audiophile sound (we do have various pieces of said equipment ) and in general the sound is of a quite pleasant and of a reasonable quality. There is one caveat though. When listening to speech, the voices have a slight ‘muffled’ quality. I have 3 small ‘Classic 993’ Roberts radios (less than £20 each) and voices are much crisper on these devices so that is something to be aware of. Otherwise I’m pleased with the product.

Brilliant Roberts Quality & Value!
Brilliant little radio and multi-player! As ever with Roberts equipment, it is made from good quality materials and well put together. It is pretty easy to use and the initial set up is easy too, as it searches out all available stations and then loads them itself. Your favourite stations can then be selected and added to your pre-set list so going between stations becomes as easy as using your TV! The CD player is very good too with a high quality soft touch opening at the top of the unit. Once you've listened to some CD's, you can always plug in a USB stick and listen to all your digital music as well. All in all, this is a really great little set that is packed full of quality and innovation and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a compact good quality radio/music player.

Love Roberts Radio for DAB
Was looking for a gift to give to a family member as they love having music in their kitchen. 18 months + later and it still works like new. I myself have owned a few different Roberts Radios for DAB listening and have always loved them. The additional thing that appealed for this model was that it came with a CD player as well. I would recommend this to anyone considering a DAB and CD Player combo.

Tinny sound, bass weak.
I love the design of this stereo but unfortunately the sound is not good. Very tinny and the bass distorts at low volume level…if I press the extra bass button it gets worse. I purchased a blauplunkt stereo in argos a couple of years ago for half the price and it’s 100x better. Wanted this for portability but it’s not a good sound at all.

Versatile Radio/CD/Media Player
Firstly, it is TRUE there is no Bluetooth so if anyone is looking for that, it is wrongly listed as a feature. It is however very easy to Pre-set chosen Radio Stations. It plays well from a USB stick but if it is a 32GB stick with a lot of albums on it, you will have to click through a lot to find the one you're looking for. It can be done but could take time and a lot of clicking! Plays commercial and home recorded CDs OK. Good sound for the size of room, mainly being used in the kitchen. Nothing wrong with the lettering on the display. All in all, a very good machine.
