I managed to destroy about 5 feet of power cord on a set of solar powered string lights, hit the cord with my weed wacker. The power of the weed wacker managed to pull the male end of the plug assembly out. Threw it somewhere but I couldn't find it. Order this set of replacement plugs and used one of the male ends to patch in to my existing cord. Worked fine. The existing cord on my lights was much lighter gauge, 22AWG, but the connection worked by just stripping some insulation from both wires and twisting them together. Before connecting the wires I place heat shrink tubing on both individual wires and a larger piece over both of the wires. Used a propane torch on the heat shrink and all is well. The connection is waterproof and the light work just like original. Recommended.

This product allowed me to save a $50 holiday decoration, that I have 5 of so now have backup for future issues.

These connectors are useful for general light use but don't hold up to repetitive connect and disconnect cycles. I believe the low quality pin and socket contacts inside are the weak point that break down and become intermittent. Price is good, so at least you have spares if/when they fail. I would not consider them submersible "underwater" connectors and I wish the leads were longer.

Worked fine as a replacement for my corroded wires on a Garmin striker 4 fish finder . A little large for the application, but it works

The housings were a little deformed so had to kind of force it together but worked great as intended. Overall id buy again if i had to.
