I purchased these to fix a butterfly table leaf who's pins had broken. I did have to drill the holes a bit deeper as I didn't consider depth when purchasing, but these did exactly what I needed them to do. Table is fixed.As others have said, the male piece does not fit tightly into the female piece, but that was not a requirement for my situation.

Very sturdy for table leaves

The pin measures 0.181" and the hole measures 0.197".I was hoping for a closer fit, so I will likely press a short piece of brass tubing onto the pin and then turn it down with a lathe to 0.192" or so.The outside dimension (0.315" with a straight knurl) that interfaces with the wood should work fine for a 5/16" diameter hole in the wood.So, if you need very precise alignment, these might not be the best for you, unless you have access to a lathe to do some modifications.

First time purchasing these and definitely will be purchasing more!
