I would give this 5 stars except for a significant safety issue I ran across today. I love the color, feel and security of the product otherwise and I would love to be able to come back and change my review.First off, cats can get their entire bodies through any space they can get their head through. I knew that in theory but today I got to see it in action when my enormous skittish cat busted through half of her harness in an instant. Thankfully I was able to come rescue her and take her home. That's not a problem, I can't expect a harness to overcome cats' liquid properties. The problem is that what's easy to do in a moment of panic is much harder to do at home when you're calm. The problem is that she only got her harness off halfway. It was stuck right behind her shoulders and wasn't going to come off without her sucking in her gut a little.She didn't.She also wasn't interested in my idea of pulling the harness off the same way it went on. So she was stuck with this tight band around her chest and no way to get it off her without hurting her. My only option was to cut it off her. She didn't like this idea either but this time I endured the biting.I just kept thinking this whole thing would have been avoided if there was another buckle for the neck part of the harness. The back part has two, spare one for the front! Cats hate having their heads shoved through weird openings anyway!

The material for the harness is well made, the design is flawed. I ordered this for my kitten but it was too large for him initially, so I've been using a different harness with him. He loves his other harness and has never showed any resistance to having it put on or walking around in it. Now that he has grown I wanted to use the RC harness because it seems more secure than his current harness.He hates it. I would probably quite like this harness if I didn't have to slip it over his head. I have to have the chest/neck adjustment too large to fit securely just to get it over his head and then spend several minutes trying to move the fasteners tighter to get it to fit. Then repeat that to get it off. I've tried shoving it over his head without moving the fasters out and he got stuck and I was actually worried about choking him if he panicked. For a cat who happily wears other harness designs and sweaters, his struggles during this process are a testament to how impossible this harness is to get on/off a cat. I cannot imagine trying to get this on a cat who is not very accustomed to harnesses.I should have read the other review who had the same window. I missed amazon's return window and RC won't take the product back. I recommend Come With me Kitty for small cats and kittens if you're looking for a harness.

Terrible design - unlike other harnesses I've used, you have to slip it over your cat's head to put it on or take it off.My cat eventually got one leg out of the harness, which meant that it was effectively stuck on her. I had two choices: fight with her while she's stressed to get it back into a position where I can safely pull it over her head - or cut it off. Needless to say I cut it off.

These harnesses seem to be most popular on reddit, and I got a warehouse deal, so I figured I'd give it a shot.The ring for the leash is at the back of the harness instead of the front, so it doesn't pull at the neck so hard, so I immediately liked that part. My older cat had gotten semi used to a different, more generic harness. But she still walked a little funny. But a few adjustments with this one, and she was set.The worst thing was that she thought it meant Walkies right then, and I had to break her little cat heart.I felt like it was worth it to get another one at full price for my other cat, and the rest of these not so great harnesses I have will be donated for someone else's cat/dog/bunny.Gotta add a frustrating update. I bought another for my smaller cat, but it was too small. Didn't even make sense that it could be that much smaller. So when given an exchange, the style was different. The harness has to be pulled over the head, which elicited some very sassy noises and some tail flicking from my cat. The adjustments were hard to make. I am disappointed for such an expensive harness to have a style difference that made it seem cheap and uncomfortable for my cat.

I've tried a few different harnesses and my cat was able to escape out of all of them. Even the so-called 'escape proof' ones. This is the best harness that i've found for my husky 'petite large' cat.

It is more lightweight and easy to wash than our cat's prior harness (a different style called 'Kitty Holster'). However, our cat can easily escape from both styles of harness by backing out of it once his leash is stretched tight. He figured the trick out for the RC Pet harness within 2 days.Our large, shorthair cat seems to prefer the RC Harness over the bulkier holster. He is still getting used to me slipping it on over his head, though. Would be difficult if your cat doesn't cooperate with putting it on.

Amazing harness. Have tried several harnesses and none of them have ever fit so well. Others are really bulky and uncomfortable for him or just straps that go around him and he can slide right out of them. This RC Pets harness is fantastic!

Great leash for cat. If you are choosing between small and medium (if your cats measurements overlap with both sizes which is possible), just go with the medium because you can make it tighter. If you choose small, you cannot make it looser.

It’s breathable, comfortable and adjustable. My cat has no issues wearing it and I’m secure it taking him out on a leash (I had my vet check the fit to ensure he couldn’t wiggle out of it). Very happy with this purchase.

Sadly I returned the product because you have to pass it over your cat's head every time and I needed to re-ajust the collar everytime since my cat's head is much larger than her neck. I also own a dog and we love RC Pet's product, but I have to admit that the harness needs improvement. It is not soft, more a ridig harness so my cat wasn't as comfy as in other harness. The color and material is great and of quality. If your cat has a head that has a similar size to it's neck it would be a good product !

The harness is well made, padded and comes with a leash. It is promoted as a kitty harness but it's a little large in the neck area. My cat is quite plump and a measured her carefully to make sure I ordered the correct size.The neck area is to big by around an inch, I had to unstitch it and re sew it so she didnt slip out.I still recommend the harness, it is adorable. Maybe size down from the measurements of your pet

Son's cat loves to go outside but trying to get this over her head, even though she knows she needs her harness to go outside, is a battle every time. Had this been constructed with a buckle, like the chest, life would be so much easier. Once on, good fit.

This harness is the best ever! It's comfortable for "Merlin" & "Loki" where they were wearing them while travelling and when we hooked them up to a cable for running around, they are not able to take it off! After a while, they didn't even care if this harness was on.There's enough room for them to move and they can't escape from it! Others, LOKI was able to escape from, but not this one! Thank-you!
