Product works great, quick response, easy to use. Seems to be fairly accurate on basic temp measurements like room walls, etc. Haven't done extension testing yet, but pleased so far.

I was looking for an infrared thermometer due to getting a new outdoor pizza oven. When it comes to quality of items, it can really be hit or miss but I was incredibility surprised with the quality and speed of the device. The laser is easily readable with a decently fast display. I didn't see any issues with the device, and it shuts off automatically after a short period. Home cooks should look to this item as part of their tool arsenal!

Very accurate. Checked it with the wall clock temperature and later checked it with the nest thermostat indoor temperature. .1 difference, that's extremely good! Turns off automatically, easy to read, and quick reading. Comes with a 2 year warranty. Great quality and value.

I use an Etekcity infrared laser thermometer to check whether my air conditioning is working properly. I pointed the laser at the ceiling registers, and I should mention that my house has 12-foot ceilings. I found that there was no difference in the temperature readings when measuring from the floor versus getting closer using a ladder. This was good news, and I am satisfied with the performance of the device for this purpose. However, in other instances the thermometer produces inaccurate readings. For example, I attempted to measure the temperature of a heated pan before frying an egg, and the reading was significantly off—most likely due to the reflective nature of the stainless-steel surface. From what I have read, infrared thermometers generally do not perform well when measuring reflective materials. Works pretty good for an infrared thermometer. Easy enough to understand how to use. Battery has lasted quite some time. I believe it is fairly accurate. It's sturdy and built well. And you do get a reading pretty quickly.

Used the temperature gun on a cooler ice challenge. It worked very well. The experiment was eye opening I found that reusable ice cubes, ice, and frozen water bottles held the most ice retention. Definitely worth using for checking temperature of no biological stuff.

I have had a blast with this thing right out of the box! First and foremost, it is not a medical device, don't take your or somebody else's temperature with it. That's a completely different type of thermometer. This is a highly functioning tool and you should use it as such. Having said that and after taking the temperature of my TV, streaming stick, etc., I do a lot of crafting and have a couple of different heat presses. One of them I'm sure is malfunctioning and has a lot of cold spots. Only way I could prove it was to video taking its temperature set at 400°F. I had a friend calibrate this so she's true. Sure enough, the temperature varied from 359-419°F set at 385°F. I've contacted the company to get warranty support for a replacement. I also use a convection oven to do some other crafting and again getting the right temperature is important. I have an oven thermometer in it but it was saying it was a lot hotter. This guy said it was right on the money. It came with batteries, easy grip, nice looking lightweight and now my new best friend checking my oven temperature to make sure it's not too hot or too cold when I'm baking something. The read speed is almost instantaneous it's so quick. It doesn't store temperatures but do you really need it too? Probably the best money I've spent on Amazon in a long time!

Fantastic thermometer that looks and performs great. I have used it many times for cooking purposes. To read water temperature and oven surface temperatures for bread making. I highly recommend this as it is fast and accurate. However to get accurate cooking temperature for meats you will still need a meat (or stab) thermometer!
