The iPhone Photography Book (The Photography Book, 3) Review: A large amount of options and topics are offered within a nicely designed book - I'm very pleased with The iPhone Photography Book, hoping it helps me improve the technical aspects of taking photos. I have my DSLR and love using it, but it's not always convenient and when I want to go light, I'm using the iPhone. Mostly it works out, but it truly has a learning curve, which you wouldn't expect with a phone camera. So I've been looking for a good resource to help, came across The iPhone Photography Book, and so far I am impressed - note, it arrived this afternoon and have only taken about half an hour to page and scan through it, but between that and looking through the very long Table of Contents, I'm excited for what I'll be learning. I like the look and layout. Usually I get Kindle books for ease of use, storage, and reading. In this case I was not going to go digital, preferring the ability to carry it with me - it's not small but it's not large - while liking the feel of the pages, the slick, colorful pages, and how there are photos at the top of each page with text below. Things are also organized to allow for smoothly flowing amount similar topics. You are getting a whole lotta options here. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of items covered. This isn't just use it like this, but from getting to know your iPhone through to organizing photos and editing. Each page has one topic, covered quickly, but succinctly, and to my view of the scanning, gives enough valuable insight to be worth it. I plan to get into reading it more fully in the coming days, but for now I'm pleased. Excellent Tips and Good Format
I bought this book because I am contemplating traveling without my DSLR camera and want to improve my photography with my iphone. I found exactly what I was looking for. It goes over all the functions of my iphone in easy-to-understand instructions to help me make use of all its features, including many that I didn’t even realize it had. The chapters are broken down in a clear, meaningful way and explain not only how to do something , but why you want to use that feature . The only downside for me was the short opening at the beginning of each chapter, which, for me, was stream-of-consciousness rambling and added little to the value of the book. After the first few chapters, I just glanced at these and moved on. All in all, an excellent instruction book and well worth your time and money.

Multiple family members using this book.
You can't go wrong with a Scott Kelby book. I have two family members learning from this book who refuse to stop taking pictures with their iPhones and switch to a real camera. I've seen a noticeable improvement with their pictures. I've read several Kelby books and he always does a great job keeping the lessons easy for even the basic beginner to understand.

Kelby Instructual books - damn good !
Been with Kelby One for 20yrs. No complaints - easy to understand directions, benefited largely from Scott Kelby’s instructional manuals.

Some good intel on iPhone camera - but mostly taken up with very basic photography principles
This nicely put together book had a few useful things about my iPhone camera, though if I had done a little research I could have found all of it online. Most of the book is taken up with very basic principles of photography (much of it focusing on composition) that anyone who has studied photography at all would know. The author does make the point that if you learn how to use this camera well, that it will be capable of taking professional quality photographs, and the easy of us relative to me lugging around my DSLR makes a good argument for learning how to use more than its just point-and-shoot functions. The language is fairly informal.

IPhone Photography Book
My book came on time and in new condition. I have a new IPhone and the features are much nicer than the one I previously had. The book is full of useful information and reads like a user manual. Lots of information that I had to re-read to understand its relevance to my new IPhone, If you like a format that is straight forward and one that covers a lot of features for your new phone, order this and you may find it useful. But as I said, it was full of information that for me took some time to process.
