Got a new one because first one I got was not working. Am I doing something wrong here ?

Not sure what yu are doing or not doing from your question. I know with my first one I didn't realize the importance of the salt. Too little seems to just do nothing and too much and my system would shut down. I use about a half teaspoon of epsom salt myself and have had good preformance from mine.

I think you could put a teaspoon in. I just sprinkle some in and no longer measure it.
