I got these blue “high waisted” shorts during a flash sale for like $18 and I’m SOO glad I did! They fit wonderfully! I’m 5’1 142lbs and ordered the M, could get a S for a more snug fit but I love how comfy the M is. I haven’t washed them yet so I don’t know how they hold up in the wash, I’ll come back and edit once I do. They aren’t high rise really, definitely more mid rise which usually cuts into me weird but these don’t. The cut is extremely flattering. I have a leftover apron belly overhang from losing 86lbs this year, and the shorts hide it very well. So if I want to tuck in shirts, I can! Or maybe I’ll even try some crop tops, who knows! They make me feel so confident, I haven’t been able to wear jean shorts in years that actually look cute on me. I’m definitely ordering the black which they have a few variations to try. Maybe even white. They are also very flattering in the butt, which I have ZERO of since losing all this weight. The pockets unfortunately do poke out some, even though these are in no way tight. I might sew it a little to keep it from bulging out. I’ll come back when I get more to show what they look like. Ignore my Christmas shirt and dirty mirror - I really need to do laundry and I have a 2 year old who like to pretend she’s wa window washer.

These shorts are perfect!! I bought them to wear over my swimsuit, and they are so so so cute and stylish, but also modest... so I dont have half my buttcheeks hanging out. As a mommy of two very young kiddos, I hold my dress standards to a higher level, and no longer feel comfortable showing too much skin (totally my personal preference, so if you like your butt hanging out of your shorts.. then you go girl.. I just dont). So I really love these shorts for this reason, but on top of that.. they're also sooo dang cute and incredibly comfortable. I will say, as far as how they fit... that they are really big on me.. like I can pull them out and have over 6 inches of gap between my lower back and the back of the shorts. But I honestly dont care.. because they still feel great on and look cute. I think they're actually true to size, and I dont believe they run big at all... I just run small. Haha I'm only 5'3" and barely 100lbs... and I have to shop in the kids' section, so I usually expect adult clothing to be much too big for me. With that being said, these shorts are really amazing. You get the cute look of a cut off, without your entire butt hanging out. They're the perfect length, and I highly recommend them!!

These shorts are overall comfy and mostly cute. They fit well with lost of stretch. My biggest complaint is the placement of the back pockets, they are so far apart and not that large. So if you are big booty girl like me those back pockets make you have the "mom jeans" look...eww! I love these shorts except for that and since that is a pretty big deal as I need my booty to look good not wide and frumpy...I took off a star. I love the fit so much and I have a hard time finding shorts that I like that fit me good in all my problem zones: love handles, C-section pooch, big thighs, chunky crotch (weight gain from pregnancy that I'm stuck with post partum even in my crotch lol) and well these shorts work great with all those areas except the booty! It's a bummer that they are sewing the pockets so far apart, it couldn't be flattering for anyone's rump. Fix that and these are GOLDEN!

First time buying a pair of jean shorts from Amazon. Please understand from the price these are NOT a pair of Lucky Brand jean shorts. Hardware is a little questionable. But again, you are not paying $80 for a pair of shorts. The zipper is a little flimsy (take it nice & slow), they just feel like they are that awesome pair you found at Target and always reach for even though, you have other better quality shorts. They are not the typical heavy true jean material. More of a light weight, stretchy, light weight jean material. Best part of all is how EXTREMELY comfortable!!! I usual wear a size 14-16, 5'7", 190 lbs, top heavy hour glass shape and bought a 2XL, as I wanted something more comfortable. Wow! I am really impressed with the fitting, perfect length, not too short, not too long. Cover just enough but still feel modern and young. The dye job on them is really cute. They are a little loose but don't mind wearing a cute belt if need be. I may also buy the next size down, as you can feel there is plenty of room to fit more snug and stretch nicely over curves. Have a comfy day pair & a more sexy day pair. I understand for the price, quality of the shorts, I don't expect them to last for years but if you want that comfortable PJ feel but in a cute jean short, you can't beat the price. So glad I took a chance and found something I love.

I'm 5'4, 145lbs, usually wear a size medium and I bought a size medium. These are nice and stretchy, they are high-waisted so they're just under my belly button. I love that these fit nicely underneath your butt, a lot of denim shorts flare straight out there and create a very strange flat butt, where these are very flattering! I'm buying these in more colors! They feel a little bit thinner than denim, which is kind of nice because they're not stiff or uncomfortable. The white distressing on the butt is the only part that's a little odd, I'd rather have that on the front and not the back, but still keeping them and can't wait to wear them for the summer!
