The Echo of Broken Dreams (After the Rift Book 2)

This is the second book in the After The Rift series and it is wonderful, I couldn't put it down.In this installment, you really get to know the characters, their personalities start to come through and they come alive, of course this is enhanced by C.J's witt, humour, compassion and emotion which seeps into every conversation in this fabulous book. This is an engrossing tale, and the pace picks up as this book unfolds. There are a few different plot lines moving fluidly through this adventure, but it is the love story between Hammer and Josie, which is so intriguing. They both want each other, but Dane has to find his answers before he can trust himself to open up his heart, and Josie has to try to soothe her aching and lonely heart while she waits.Villains abound, backstabbing is rife and questions pop up in each of the chapters.I loved it and can't wait for the third is this glorious series....

Have read other books by C J Archer and enjoyed them, but I can't say the same for this series. I was going to buy the next book, thinking it was the last one in the series, just to see how it ends, but now she's brought out a fourth book, so I won't be bothering. Just couldn't get enthused about the story.

Brilliant book. Amazingly written & a great story.

C.I Archer always manages to drop me firmly into the world she creates, I become entangled in the characters lives and I'm deeply involved. I love the will they, won't they relationship between Josie and Dane but also the friendships that have developed, can't wait for the 3rd one!

I dont often read two books in the same series one after the other...I usually read a different series but got so immersed in the first book that I went straight onto 2nd and then preordered the third which I am eagerly awaiting on my Kindle.

Read in almost one go. The romantic tension between the Captain and Josie is addictive reading and I can’t wait for the sequel! If you like the Glass and Steele books, give this series a go.

It's a while since I couldn't stop reading these 2 books. The love growing between Dane and Josie speeds you through the story. Still haven't worked out who's the magician.

Really enjoyed reading this book the 2nd the series. Excellent storyline interesting characters and engaging plot would recommend it for a good read
