Great but of kit
Excellent bit of kit, does exactly what it is supposed to do. Simple and effective. Well worth its cost.

Lasted 4 years
Taken me 4 years to write a review. The blender is very powerful and does a good job blending wet masala and dry masala. The coffee mill is excellent too. The push down mechanism broke after maybe a couple of years but we have been manually pushing the button down. It’s lasted until today and maybe I overdid it blending conkers when it stopped working completely. Could have been built better but still did a good job while it worked.

Excellent Grinder. Plug Not Great If Sockets Close to Splashback But Can be Overcome. Worth Doing.
Really quick and super-efficient compared to the antiquated braun with grinding attachment I've been using. To be fair that was ancient. This grinder is super-fast; literally taking about 10 seconds or so to pulverise flaxseeds, which need just-before-use grinding to release the oils in case you didn't know.I tried the veg/wet grinder i.e. the cup with four blades to grind up carrots, garlic, celery and onion and that works well too, although you do have to do that in a few batches given in its small capacity. However, it's so easy to remove and clean and very, very fast, which makes breaking out the larger food processor and unnecessary inconvenience. Oh, and it doesn't make much noise compared to the old, ancient Braun.I've removed a star because the plug is one of those small flat triangular ones with a neck-brace which I cannot plug in just above the splashback, i.e. where the socket is.Normal square-shaped three pins aren't a problem. At some point I'll remove it and replace the plug. You could also use an adaptor if you can't plug it elsewhere in the room where the sockets aren't close to the splashback.

Great bit of kit...
Does exactly as you'd hope! Having the two different bowls is great, and stainless steel makes it easy clean too. Plenty of power, looks great, really pleased with the purchase.

Very good for Indian spices, wet grinding and dry grinding, puree, nut butter in small quantity
Date of purchase: 08 Aug 2023Date of review: 23 Jan 2024Usage : approx 5 days a weekUsage type : dry grinding of Indian spices, wet grinding for making puree, wet spicesProduct comes with a device that has the motor, a wet grinding jar and a dry grinding jar.The dry grinding jar is the most effective even for wet grinding. I guess that is because of the shape of the blades which continuously keeps things moving up and down inside the jar while spinning.I have used only for grinding spices - both wet and dry, veges and fruit puree for baby, coconut for coconut chutney and nut butter.Have not used for coffee beans so far.Pros1. Though device has a small wattage, it exceptionally grinds well. I have not used it for more than 20 seconds at one go as per manufacturer's instructions but can achieve a fine grinding by approx 2 to 3 cycles.2. Small jar, hence can grind things in small quantity.3. Have tried - cinnamon, nutmeg, black pepper, peanuts - all works well4. Have tried making peanut butter and almond butter. Bit of a crunchy texture on both.5. Easy to clean jar and the lid.6. Jar quality is good7. Jar blades are sharp.Cons:While using the wet grinder sometimes (when too much of water) liquid comes out through the small gap between the device and the lid that goes into the device, which becomes a bit difficult to clean later on.

Wake up and smell the coffee
I like to wake up every day to a freshly ground cup of coffee and to do that a good coffee grinder is essential. My last grinder was good but did have a few minor problems. It was tricky to screw on the lid and ground beans stuck to the inside of the grinder due to a plastic rim that especially seemed to attract some brands of coffee, this meant that it couldn’t be fully emptied which did tend to create a mess when cleaning it. Having a mains cord didn’t help when I wanted to brush it clean over the sink.My new Shardor grinder is a massive improvement. The grinding bowl is easy to insert and its stainless steel construction means that the ground beans tip out very easily without sticking to plastic on the inside of the bowl. It’s good that the bowl can be lifted out of the grinder base for ease if use, this makes the process quick, clean and simple, it also avoids the problem of an attached mains cord. To aid in cleaning, the bowl can be swilled under the tap if required.I like the design, it’s slim, quiet, unobtrusive and simple to use. It grinds beans without waking the rest of the family in the morning. There is a second bowl included that will be useful for those occasional small chopping tasks that require a simple solution. The machine has a two year guarantee included when registered. At last have found the coffee grinder that I have been looking for. Why struggle with a grinder? Now with the Shardor you can truly ‘ Wake up and smell the coffee’ !
