Good Stuff
My dog is very hyper and this is the first product to really chill him out. It's that large amount of tryptophan that helps. Excellant product

Doesn’t work for all dogs but worth a try
My son bought these for his dog and I was amazed at how well it worked. She weighs about 50 pounds. So I bought it for my pup. I have used it for 2 weeks but I don’t feel like it has had any impact. My opinion is that it doesn’t work for all dogs. As for taste both my dog and my son’s ate it no problem.

He usually gazes, unblinking, at my husband for a little while before he nods off.
These treats are amazing! We have some idiots in our neighborhood setting off fireworks to celebrate everything from the 4th of July (for 3+ weeks) to ringing in the New Year to what-the-hell-it's-Tuesday-night. Magellan doesn't like thunder or fireworks and he gets really whiny and obnoxious (he's my best friend and I love him more than 99.99% of people, but it's true), so I tried these treats and holy cow! It's like he gets high and goes to sleep. He usually gazes, unblinking, at my husband for a little while before he nods off.We only use them on the really bad nights when we can't get him to calm down any other way -- not because I think they're harmful, but just because it makes me feel bad to knock him out, even though he seems to enjoy it. I think they smell terrible, but I'm pretty sure that makes Magelly love them even more.Magellan is a 95lb, 8-year-old, Rhodesian Ridgeback. We could probably give him 5 treats since he's almost 100lbs, but we stick with 4 -- I really just want to help him relax, not make him comatose. He generally only falls asleep for 15-20 minutes (unless he was already really tired), and then he's much calmer (and doesn't give a f about things that go BOOM) when he wakes up.

Calling it a win
I was hesitant to buy with the mixed reviews on efficacy, taste, texture, and size but figured I’d take a chance. I’m glad I did! I have a little 7 pound 2 year old we got from the pound who just loves treats but does have issues with big bites. She gobbled it up before I could get it out of my hand. It was soft enough that she didn’t have any issues chewing it, loved the taste (because she came back for more), and the size was fine. I also gave two to my 20 lb pomapoo because sharing is caring in this house.I bought the treats in hopes of calming kitty down while we trimmed nails and applied soft paws for the first time. I wouldn’t say she was calm and relaxed but she didn’t put up as big of a fight as she would have and is now resting easy so I’m going to call it a win. They do seem to make her sleepy enough that she is less interested in fighting me and more interested in snuggles. I included a pic of her next to me right after we got done with her “mani.”They didn’t work so much on noodle the pomapoodle but he’s been hyper since birth so that doesn’t surprise me.

Not impressed.
I really can't say if they work well for calming or not. The things are larger than bite sized and very hard. My kitties acted like they might be flavorful but even cut into tiny pieces they are simply too hard for them to chew.

Disappointed Cat Lover
I have three wonderful cats. One is a bit skidish and one has extremely high anxiety. I am having new siding installed on my house which is very LOUD work. I bought these cat treats to give my three cats prior to the start of work. Even though they are not picky and absolutely love all of the other treats I give them, not ONE of my three cats would eat these treats for anxiety. Not only are they very large for a cat treat and super hard, they appear to be totally unappetizing and undetectable to ALL three of my cats. I would certainly NOT recommend these to any pet lover.

Dogs liked them!
Cats wouldn't eat them, so we didn't notice any effect on their behavior. The dogs gobbled them up and seemed as chill as always. Decent as treats, not sure about the calming part.

Dogs like the taste
Both dogs loved the taste so no problem getting them to eat it. I only gave them 1 each which is less according to manufacturer's suggested for size. Seemed to work on the Golden Retriever - drifted off to sleep faster & was quiet through the whole night. Our Sheperd is older & more 'wired'. She was a little sleepy & a short nap but that's about it. I think this would be great for calming them for vet trips, fireworks/thunder or a long trip in the truck. No side effects that I could notice.

Seems to work
I think these are helping. My dog seems to calm down faster and she's not barking so much. She doesn't seem to react to everything so hyper as she was. Maybe now she can concentrate and we can train her. It's like she has ADD and just needs a tool to help her brain.

Disappointed
We bought these to ease the stress on a longer than normal drive. Our dog hesitantly ate them mixed with his food but they did not work at all. There was absolutely no change in his behavior. Would not recommend and will not buy again.
