Yo-Zuri Crystal 3D Minnow Sinking Lure, Silver Black, 5-1/4-Inch

Been a mainstay in my tackle box for years. I’m a guide so great lures are import, yozuri always comes in clutch.

The lure looks great, and I was expecting this lure to be my secret weapon that would hammer out fish, but it just hasn't caught me anything yet. I know there are other factors, and maybe it would have worked better under different conditions or if a better angler was using it. I used both the floating and sinking version of this lure (both in silver black) for several hours total at many different times of the day in mangrove inlets, a nearby reef, and the channel that connects them from a small boat in Honduras. There are definitely fish there (jacks, snappers, tarpon, etc. are visible), but I didn't get a single strike with either Yo-Zuri Crystal Minnow while trying a variety of retrieval speeds and patterns. It may not have been the best week for fishing, but other lures were hooking fish, most notably Heddon Spooks, plastics, and a MirrOlure Classic 52M. I have a lot of respect for Yo-Zuri, and this is a great looking lure. I'll try it again in the future, and hope my luck changes. If anyone has been successful with this lure and has any suggestions or pointers, let me know!
