Norpro 9.5 Inch Nonstick Egg Poacher Skillet Set with Removable 4 Egg Poacher (662)

I wanted to wait and see how this product fares over time but after near two years of use, it is holding up very well. I have destroyed two very expensive egg poachers in the last ten years so I decided to go for a cheap one and what a surprise - it actually is true to its claims. The nonstick works well. The bottom of the pan is covered with stains because of our hard water but that happened with the expensive stainless steel pans too. I was weary of the eggs receptacles being non removable (it is a solid unit as the picture shows) but that actually make it much easier to clean and it is easy to remove the cooked eggs too. I do a light spray of oil before putting in the eggs as otherwise the eggs would stick and cleanup would be miserable. I use this product about twice a week on average.

I love this egg poacher but only a few weeks after I began using it the "paint" on the inside of the pan began to bubble up and come off. I also noticed it is beginning to rust in those spots as well as underneath the insert. I will be looking for one like this but is not "painted."

I think this egg poacher is great. I use mine once or twice a week and always wash it in the dishwasher. I have not had any problems with eggs sticking, paint peeling, or rust that I have read about in some other reviews. It is admittedly a light duty pan, but its purpose is just to boil water. If you're looking for a general purpose kitchen skillet this isn't it, but as an egg poacher this is top shelf. It is a great value for $22. I recommend it.

Within one year of use, about 50 times used, it is a mess. The no stick surface never really was, and is scratched even though I first sprayed Pam and only a plastic pad was used. Rust spots are now showing up on the bottom pan even though it never required scrubbing. MY advice is to pay more and get one that will last....

I love this poached egg pan, as I can quickly cook breakfast for the entire family at one time! I use a little spray butter in the egg trays and have never had a problem with them sticking. I use it on an electric range and the non-stick coating has never peeled. The pan itself is 9-inch diameter and 2 3/8-inch High. With the lid on it is about 4 3/4-inch High. The handle is about 6-inches long. Overall this 3-piece set (pan, egg tray, lid) seems to be sturdy and well made and I hope it will last a long time. I removed one star because if the tray is unbalanced (ex. 2 eggs on one side and empty on the other side), then the heavier side will sometimes slip down into the pan and get covered with the water, especially while removing eggs. I think this is due to the rounded lip on the inside of the bottom pan, so this needs to be redesigned to prevent slippage. To work around this, I just remove eggs across from each other to help keep the egg tray balanced. Overall a good product.

The pan is perfect for what we need. We were use to a smaller pan (3 eggs) and I would have preferred that, as this pan is much bigger, than the old one, but we will adjust. Just no need to cook four eggs at a time. I would recommend this item for families, & big eaters. I love the handle in the middle to lift the insert out! Very happy with this item!

This works just fine as an egg poacher, but don't bother if you're looking for a skillet, too. A single screw holds the handle on (that will eventually work loose, and is a cheap manufacturing process). Non-stick coating, again, is fine for egg poaching, but seems dated and cheap. To be sure, this is not an expensive poacher, and is a good solution for those who enjoy poached eggs. Just don't look at it as a kitchen skillet cure-all.

I was looking for an egg poacher like this one with Teflon for ease of getting the perfect poached egg that doesn’t stick to the pan. This is very satisfactory. I bought one previously that had removable plastic cups that fit into a base and it was awful trying to get the eggs out without a hassle. This pan us simple to use, easy to clean and makes the perfect poached egg. Yay!
