Great coffee beans
I learned about 49th Parallel coffee back in Toronto and I've always enjoyed their beans. Lately I've been looking for a less bright flavor and I find the Old School espresso to be perfect for espresso and cappuccino. It's definitely worth giving these beans a try.

Excellent Coffee!
This coffee is awesome! I had this once from a friend who brought it back (to the States) from Canada and have been trying to find ways to get it since. Being on Amazon is a total game changer as there is no shipping charge! I have had the Middle School and Old School blend and Old School is my favorite. It's med to dark roast and it has a real coffee/chocolate flavor. So happy to have access to 49th parallel thru Amazon!

Extreamly stale
I ordered this because I couldn't wait for the bag my mother sent from Canada. Usually you can smell the coffee before you even open the bag and I could barely smell anything once I opened it. I thought maybe my nose was stuff and that's why I couldn't smell it. I was wrong it was just really stale. I brewed some in my French press and there wasn't any oil on top like there usually was. The taste was so bland, not like the bold flavor I'm used to. When the bag my mother sent arrived I could smell it as soon as I opened her care package. I did a taste test and it confirmed, the bag I bought was extreamly stale. Save your money it's not worth buying, it does 49th parallel no justice. FYI it was cheaper for my mother to buy a fresh bag and ship it than it was to purchase on Amazon.

Easy to acquire specialty roasted coffee but...
Fresher coffee, seems to be a difficult thing to find and lock in on Amazon but better than many others I've bought through their service. Flavor wise, seems to be a lighter medium roast than i expected, harder to dial in for espresso on a bambino as a result (because temp can't be adjusted to take lighter roasts into account), but does have good flavor still for other methods. I know there are other services that can provide a similar quality if not better for less, be it Amazon or other roasters directly. If you're paying this price because you want good coffee, you'll probably be better off finding a closer (if not local) roaster and buying directly from them

Very fresh
My husband is a coffee snob, and when the pandemic hit we despaired that we couldn’t go to our local distributor to buy the freshly roasted pound of coffee each week that he prefers for our espresso machine. After a bit of research we took a chance on this product and voila! He’s happy. With Amazon’s quick delivery we don’t have to go without..

Old roasts
I love this usually and it’s my go to coffee, but this bag came with a more burnt/stale bean :/ Update: still hit or miss. Sometimes fresh, often stale. It’s unfortunate

Good fresh roast, NOT stale or old.
49th Parallel is consistently a good roast.

If you like flavoured coffee you may like this. If you like the taste of espresso you will not like this. Incredibly strong notes that completely destroy the natural flavour of any bean. Just get a bag of Starbucks.

Love love love this brand and their coffee BUT - what’s with the price? SHEESH! I get it for MUCH LESS locally. My local Save-On prices it at a ridiculous $23-24 but London Drugs sells it around 13.99-18.99 - C’mon 🤦🏻♀️

Unfortunately the packaging was damaged and the coffee was a little scattered. I always order 49th parallel, great coffee, probably the best coffee I've tried. 49th Parallel, please pay attention to the delivery of your product
