These are pretty hard but they stayed in shape and didn't fall apart in the bag like others have. My pups loved them.

I’m a freeze dried salmon connoisseur thanks to my cats, ground up various brands and these grind way easier because they’re expanding them somehow. I love how easy they are to grind but they are less salmon than meets the eye. When priced at 9.99, it’s my favorite brand but when they try to increase then I switch. Hopefully, they continue the product at the same price, chewy charges over $20 and I will NEVER buy it from them. Again, awesome product, my cats enjoy it but they also enjoy other brands like wholehearted and I can get a 9 oz bag of salmon for dogs for under $30 and make almost 3 batches of salmon where this bag only grinds down to ONE BATCH but I do enjoy that it is less work to grind it up but not worth paying more than $9.99. I will continue buying this product and recommend it to others, even have a recipe to share but won’t post till product available again

My cat gets these every night at bedtime. They are a little big so I cut them into smaller pieces because they’re also pretty hard. But in smaller, safe pieces, my cat goes absolutely nuts for these!

The salmon is high quality and very meaty unlike most dried freezed treats. But it's super hard and can't be crumbled apart, my cats have a super hard time eating these. I soak it in hard water and even still, it is too dense to soften. I have to soak it about 15-20 mins before they can be eaten which is a bit of a hassle as a treat. For dogs, these are great but for cats, esp seniors, this is too hard to eat.

I bought this because it was a bit cheaper than their other products, only to find out they were made for dogs, [so it figures that it was cheaper🤔]. It’s a single ingredient product, so it doesn’t matter who you give it to. What I like about these is the larger size - about ¼” cubed. I use them as a dental treats, since they are large enough to force my cats to actually chew on them, rather than swallowing them whole, the way other dental treats allow. Of my 4 cats, only 1, a wedgie with a narrow face, needs me to cut the treat in half, which is easy to do. Overall, these are clean treats without pieces of hard, inedible skin.

I've been purchasing Life Essentials by Catmandoo salmon treats for my cats for years, and have always been happy with them and so have my cats. However, I will never, ever, ever buy them again! It's too late to return them; however, I'm still going to reach out to the seller to express my dissatisfaction. As you can see in the video I took, these are so hard that they would probably break a cat or a dog's teeth just by trying to chew them. Soaking them even in hot water and letting them sit for a couple of minutes still does not make them a texture that would be easy to chew. My cats (rightfully so) have zero interest in eating them and thus, I've wasted my money. In an attempt to see if I could break them up a little bit, I put them in a baggie, rolled over them with a rolling pin and that didn't even work. I cannot explain in words how hard these sucker's are. I wouldn't recommend them. It's possible I got a bad batch and if I did, and the seller offers me a replacement, I'll gladly update this review. Otherwise, I would NOT buy them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone. Beware!

The nuggets are very hard and probably made for dogs...as it says on the label. But I took the whole bag and put it in the blender and I sprinkle it on my cat's kibble and wet food. HE GOES NUTS for it!! We usually buy the Life Essentials dehydrated Chicken treats and have them on Subscribe and Save, but they are out often. I'm glad we checked out this product because my cat loves it! But boy, is it stinky!! lol

When I take these salmon treats out the dogs and cats immediately stop what they are doing and are at my feet in seconds. I hide them around the room so the dogs can get the low and the cats get the high. It’s fun. They practice their smelling to find the treat. For a few minutes, they are hunters after prey. In an emergency, you could eat them yourself. Have reordered these for over a year. Recommend.

The salmon smell good and are crispy fresh !
