Pennsylvania Imports Himalayan Salt Brick Lick for Horses, 6-8 Lbs

Great love this item it's a great buy for the money compared to tractor supplies. Came quick and in water resistant wrapping.Edit: after buying this for the horses, we started getting them for the goats also, they seem to love it. We have to keep turning it or they will lick a hole straight through to the rope. These seem to last longer than the old salt licks we were getting from tractor supply. This is a great salt lick for a great price! The length of the rope is actually tucked inside the hole, so you have to pull it out of the hole in order to use it. I can see how some wouldn't notice that because it does seem rather tight around the block, but you can pull it out and use it to hang the block. This is the largest block I've gotten from online orders and it's been about a month now and it's held up well to my Percheron cross loving on it daily! I will definitely be buying another in the future.

More cost effective than blocks bought locally. I, personally, did not taste it myself, but the goats are at it every day and it has lasted a long time, even the one outside in the elements!

Great size but it broke apart after 2 days.

I got the 6-8lb block. My horses started on it right away. Even this larger sized block had a short rope looped through it, and a hole in the middle. I think the hole in the middle was too big. Make the hole smaller and give me more salt. Anyway, It was easy to attach the little rope to a longer rope and hang it from a support post in my barn. Everyone seemed to enjoy gathering around and licking on it. It's also easier to rinse the slobber off of it while it's hanging than having a block on the ground, so that's nice. Overall I am relatively pleased with the item because my horses took to it and didn't ignore it. It also seems to entertain them more than the jolly ball or other toys they don't seem to notice. This was purchased for entertainment only, not to replace any other salt or supplements.

Really like this, it is hard enough that they don't bite it, and it also lasts a long time, it doesn't crumble, or do anything weird. . I like that I can just tie it to the fence on their paddock and if I wanted to, it is easy to move. Best of all, they lick it like crazy, and their water consumption is excellent, even in Winter.

I guess it's fine. I do not ever see my horses lick it though. Nor can I tell that they ever use it when I'm not around.

Beautiful! I washed this, shattered it with a demolition hammer, and love the resulting screened table salt granules! Like as if I had walked into the mine, lifted up this chunk of prehistoric vital health treasure - remember, in our own not too far past history, this very item was traded as the "cash" of that time! - and with thankful heart, placed it in my home vault for my family to maintain their health by its savory addition to their meager diet!Priceless treasure!
