Amazing! The ONLY trap that worked!
Wow! After 3 weeks of hell trying to get this little bugger, this is the one that did it. I knew it would work. It's brilliant. This rat was so incredibly smart. I never knew how intelligent they are. We tried glue traps (escaped from), mouse traps, old school wooden victor rat traps (he set it off and somehow lived!!! Wtf!), rat poison, an elaborate bucket trap, this was the only one that worked. He was able to outsmart all of them but this one. Awesome!I relocated him to a heavily shaded/wooded area far from us and even gave him some food to grab. I swear he actually looked up at me to give a quick thanks before slowly (yes slowly) wandering away from the trap once I opened it. He knew I wasn't there to hurt him and he was definitely scared being trapped in there. Wouldn't you be?It was NOT hard to put together, it's extremely easy to set up. Anyone who says otherwise is just impatient. It's like putting together a baby's toy and takes not even 2 minutes. You don't need instructions, come on people. Super easy to set the trap/bait and extremely safe. I'm really impressed. It took him 4 days but I knew he couldn't resist the hamburger and bacon smells.Rats really are incredibly smart and sweet believe it or not. I wanted to kill it just because the thought of having a rat living behind our house was pretty gross to think about. After he set off the Victor rat trap and somehow some way actually did not get caught, all I could think was, this guy deserves to live. Are you kidding me? A human couldn't set that Victor trap off without getting injured, but this guy did it. I'll never understand how he pulled that off. He's just trying to eat, sleep and breathe just like we are. I heard the Victor trap go off one night and my wife and I looked at each other like, oh man we just killed an animal. We felt horrible. When I went outside to clean up the mess, to my utter shock he wasn't in it. He knew not to go back to that trap because I'm sure it scared the crap out of him. They learn, they know! After that I pretty much gave up and said, well you have earned the right to live my friend. Let's see what Amazon has.I was a little hesitant to buy this because some people were flustered with putting it together, plus the price seemed to good to be true. You can trust this review. Buy it and I promise you will catch your rodent, just have patience and put fresh yummy food in there that they can't resist. They like to feed at dusk/night. Less chance of predators seeing them. This is the best humane rat/mouse trap of all time. Whoever designed it is brilliant. Buy it!! Show some compassion and relocate these little buggers. They are just trying to survive just like we are. You'll feel better about yourself. If you kill it you will feel guilty for a while (maybe forever) if you have a heart. This thing is perfection. A two year old could put it together, it's so simple.

Finally! A trap that is big enough and sensitive enough to rid me of my rodents.
This is the third mouse catcher I tried, and it was going to be my last before I was going to resort to less friendly methods. Every trap I purchased before this was either too small of an opening where the bigger mouse wouldn't fit in, or the trap itself was too small land the mice could grab food without triggering it, or the catcher mechanism itself wasn't sensitive enough to trigger. This trap was cheaper than all of the others, and it caught the intruding rodent instantly the night I set it up. Wooh!It does take a few minutes to assemble the trap, a few minutes of frustration and then it's done. It's a bit intuitive setting up the trap, takes a bit of fiddling to get the ramp setup correctly so it will snap the doors shut once it's depressed, but it does the job!I have a few small complaints, there is no easy way to let the pint-sized miscreant loose after you caught him aside from holding the doors open yourself. It's also not easy to clean without taking the whole contraption apart again. I can overlook these considering the price and effectiveness.

Not Air tight and there are tricks
I have lost about 5 chipmunks and I have caught about 10. Obviously I have a problem with them. I think they filter in from the neighbors. My cat has also caught three. What I am saying, is that the trap is not that great. If the doors shut tight without too much trouble, it would be ok, but if the metal frame that holds the plastic plate is at all to one side or the other, it catches on the door as it shuts and the critter can get its claws in the door and get out. One chippy chewed on the corner of the door and could get traction to open the door. Now, I have to see them in the trap right away before they figure out how to get the door open.IMPORTANT! I put the trap together perfect after much confusion, but it finally made sense. It is NOT, however, air tight. When I wash it out, water pours out of the bottom edges. It would be a horrific way to go. I release my critters in a field by water.

Extremly good trap! The best of the best
Hi!After try to catch a mouse by one week after buy it I finally did it.The traps Works very good, however for small mice you have to set the trap with extremly sensitivity (that is, lower the wires of the pedal in the lowest part of the doors to the limit, like if almost is closed automaticallyHope the most sensitive configuration would be the default one by default. A good feature to be improved in the trap. Also, put the bait at the end of the white pedal as the animal has to get in the pedal to eat the bait and actÃvate the trap!Fully recommended.See video attached of the mouse catched( poor Little bored mouse haha!)

awesome if used correctly
work. which is great. You have to put cheese in it if you want to catch a mouse or rat, peanut butter doesn't work. If the trap isn't set up right then you won't catch anything. So follow the directions and pictures. I left peanut butter in it for three months and nothing went in it. But after leaving cheese in it, within a week a rat was found in it. haven't had success after buying a new one for a second catch but i still love it since it has caught one. Now I just need to find a new spot to confuse the bastards.

Money trap for the buyer !
Not worth $9.00, should sell for under $3.00 at the dime store. Its made of lite weight cheap plastic that will break easily! That is if you are ever able to set the trap and really use it? It takes a three handed magician to set this bottle trap and Iseriously doubt I will ever use this piece of junk,my chip monks will be very happy.Do not waste your money !

It seems to attract more ants than rodents. I have not caught any squirrel in this trap yet, after three weeks. Still, I give it the benefit of the doubt : next week might be a more productive one. Erika M.

but I was still able to use it and it worked like a charm
Did not think it would work when I first got it, it came with plastic sleeve cracked at the edge hence 4 stars, but I was still able to use it and it worked like a charm. Easy to put together. It did a great job.
