Messmer Combo A & B Cleaner & Brightener, 16oz

This product really works, it got rid of all the old stain and dirt on the deck.

The product works as it says it does. My deck had multiple layers so had to make a few passes to get it all up. I used a scrubber and a power washer and it went pretty well. Still 2 day job. But the Ipe is back to almost original look and feel. Curious to see how long it lasts. Guessing every six months. Should be easier.

Patience is not one of my virtues. As the Summer was coming to an end I desperately needed to clean up our Epi deck. It had been 3+ years since I last sanded it and used the UV formula to show the beautiful wood. Something I doubt has occurring in over 20 years from former owners. In any event, I read the instructions and got ready. Keeping a wet edge was the most difficult because we had a 90 degree day and then I was looking at a 60 degree day, the following one. I needed to get both A + B done that day. IF the deck dried, I would try for the UV coat. Wow, simply following the directions and getting the roller to move quick enough to keep it wet and the deck looks amazing! Yes, I needed to use some elbow grease, but it was well worth it! I have plenty left for next time too. I’d definitely recommend this product!

The deck cleaner is fantastic. I use it on my ipe wood deck and it cleans off all the green mossy stuff that accumulates over the year.

We had a Ipe deck installed and knew we wouldn't refinish and stain it every season. As good as original color is we didn't want to chase that color by re-staining it each season. Plus since the wood doesn't absorb the stain like other non-hard wood, we heard friends who tracked the stain into their house each season. So we are letting it go grey BUT you still have to sweep and every other season clean and brighten the wood. This product is amazing. My wife was freaking out about warning labels so she wore a mask so she wouldn't breathe it in. It's amazing product that gets the job done and cleans and make the deck look new sans the original color.

I used this product on an epa deck and it hardly worked at all. I had to which to another product(which actually worked). The only way i would use this in the future is on a new deck with one coat of finish on it and harder any ware.

We live in Florida on the coast so the sun is quite intense. When we installed our ipe deck 3 years ago, we knew that oiling it regularly with a UV protector would be important. Even with regular oiling, the natural finish became dull. Before sanding and starting over, we decided to give Messmer's Combo a shot. We followed the directions and allowed the cleaner to sit (doing 6 x 12 sections at a time so it wouldn't dry) and then scrubbed it with a scrub brush on a pole. We then power washed the cleaner off with a wide spray power washer. Since Ipe is so hard and we kept the power washer moving, we were able to use the power washer without damaging the wood any where.

Can’t help but think that other Oxygen cleaners would do just as good a job at a much lower price.
