AeroGarden Gourmet Herb Seed pod Kit - Herb Seeds for AeroGarden Indoor Garden, 9-Pod

I had a garden for a few years now and I have two bunnies that love greens, it's good for then and their teeth and bellies. Anyway since those plants consume a lot of water, I decided to only plant three instead of 7 last time. I was disappointed because some mold appeared really faint, so I used a qtip and rubbing alcohol to kill it. It ce back and one of the plant didn't germinate (I think it was mint?). I threw it away a got another mint to try again. I just let it be this time, and it germinated way later than what is written on the pod. I changed the stone as well thinking it might be why there was mold on the pods. And then they all geinated and grew without an issue whatsoever. So if your pods get a bit of mold and don't seem to grow, just wait! The mold isn't a big deal and might retard germination. It worked really well and it's been over three months, they're still growing strong. I would also not fill all the holes with plants because you'll need to fill the tank out twice a day and they'll die faster. Chives are a bit disappointing in size and mint isn't fragrant but dill is always a champion!

This is my second grow kit from aerogarden and I was pleased to have all of my pods sprout. The basils are thriving and well, and the dill is also producing a lot. The dill does tend to flop over a bit unless I prop the plant up but that might just be a me thing... I will also say that the variety of dill from this kit is a bit different than the one sold in my local kroger so the taste had a few different notes than I was used to, but it is still dill-like and delicious. My parsley plants are also doing well. The chives are struggling a bit. I noticed the root system was less extensive than some of the other pods, so I've trimmed some of the bigger pods' roots in case the root size was impeding on other pods. My mint was slow to start but is picking up nicely. The thyme is veryyy slow growing but that could also be a root issue. All in all, highly satisfied. Though I love the thai basil so much, I might look into getting a full set of pods of just the thai basil!

I regret buying this AeroGarden. Initially, I was excited about it, but it has turned out to be a massive disappointment. LED Issues: I received the product in October 2023, and now, just shy of a year, many of the LEDs have stopped working. For a product that claims to be high quality, this is completely unacceptable. A year of use, and already I'm dealing with faulty lights. Seed Pod Problems: In June, I ordered the AeroGarden Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit, hoping to grow my own herbs. None of the pods grew—zero germination. After contacting customer service, I was sent a replacement set of pods in August, but even the new ones failed to grow. I've followed all the instructions, ensured proper care, but still, nothing. For a product that’s supposed to make indoor gardening easy, it has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. Poor quality control, and the replacement pods didn't fix the issue either. I’ve wasted both time and money on this product. I do not recommend the AeroGarden, and I would suggest looking at other alternatives if you're serious about indoor gardening.

My Aero Garden came with a 6 pack of herbs that lived through winter, spring and summer! Aero Garden must know how to do it right, so I wanted to get more from them. I thought the 9 pack of Aero Garden herbs and plant food was a great deal! My pods and food were shipped in a bubble mailer instead of a box to my disappointment. Some of the moss fell out of the pods. I'm wondering if 2 of my pods -chives and thyme didn't grow because the seeds maybe fell out during shipping? Anyways, the other 7 herbs grew and are thriving. One basil grew extremely fast, and I had to keep cutting it back, so it was the same height as the rest. I will go to the actual Aero Garden site and ask for replacements for the chives and thyme. They are very good about replacing pods. One of my pods that came with my Aero Garden didn't grow and I got my replacement. The replacement did grow. The only annoying part of when pods don't grow is since the other plants are huge it's hard to get the light low enough to germinate the replacement pods. Overall, I am so happy with my herbs. It's so nice to have fresh herbs all winter. I'm literally harvesting my plants after less than a month!

I've been an enthusiastic user of the AeroGarden system for nearly a year, regularly updating my herb selection as they outgrow the device. However, my latest experience with the Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit was disappointing due to packaging and product quality issues. Upon receiving the kit, which appeared to be sealed, I noticed that the stickers on top of the pods were loose, and some were even detached. This was a concerning first sign. True enough, four out of the six pods failed to produce any plants within the expected timeframe of nearly three weeks. This was a significant letdown, especially considering the system's previously reliable performance. Given the lack of growth, I resorted to using my own seeds, which sprouted successfully within a week. This situation leads me to question the quality control processes involved in the production of these pods. It's crucial that such issues are addressed and rectified to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the integrity of the product. In conclusion, while the AeroGarden typically offers a convenient and effective solution for growing herbs indoors, this particular experience with the Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit was unsatisfactory due to potential quality control issues. It's essential for the company to conduct thorough checks before dispatching their products to prevent similar experiences for other customers.

I purchased a hydrogarden set up and threw these in once I added water! They grew pretty fast and the genovese and thai basil truly took on a life of their own. I had so much I was giving it away to friends and family, some of them planting it in their own gardens as well! Once they get that big they got pretty demanding for water understandably. About .5-1 liter of water a day! Once they're this big you wont want to go away for more than two days without having someone stop by to refill! The genovese basil also grew the biggest leaves I've seen yet, nearly the size of my hand. Overall, I would purchase again or for a friend.

If you love fresh herbs but hate paying the costly price for them at the store... this is for you! I have 3 AeroGarden systems and love them all! Fresh herbs year around is awesome! As you see, it comes packaged perfectly! It's so simple! Put the herbs in the AeroGarden and wait for them to sprout! I personally put the tall herbs (like dill) in the back row. It gives the shorter herbs (like thyme) more room to grow. It's so fun to watch them sprout and eventually harvest! My entire family enjoys watching them grow!

Bought the 6 seeds package but thyme and curly parsley did not germinate. Same happened last year with one herb. Did not get a response from the company and cannot return at this point as the others are ok.
