awesome subsitute to the pricey brand name blocks!
very impressed and satisified with this purchase. my daughter loves the legos she has but i always feel like i should get her more. they can get pricey though so when i saw this 500 piece bag for less, i figured I'd give them a shot. if worst came to worse, i could always return them, right? well fortunately, these will not be getting returned as they fit perfectly, and the color variety is great too. she loves the pink and purple pieces, of which, she had none before. really impressed with the price and packaging too. it came in a simple bag so very little packaging to get tossed out. i will be ordering these again now that i know how good they are.

500 bricks for 30 bucks
You can't beat the price. They aren't perfect though. Not all of them interlock well, depending on what you are building. I think I had 1 that was broken. A couple are slight damaged or the edges aren't finished well. I tried to take a picture, but I'm not sure it shows up well. As far as the glowing part - you need to let your eyes adjust to the dark before you will see it.I was really on the fence between giving 3 or 4 stars, but for the price you can't expect perfection. I'd say about 85-90% of them work just fine for building. If you are expecting these to glow like a glow stick they will not.My kids like the fact that they are clear. They got over the glowing part fairly quickly - in fact, I don't recall them being terribly disappointed that they didn't.

I should have ordered more...
I purchased these in order to get my son (who just recently developed a huge interest in legos) started with a collection. I opted for these over traditional legos because of the cost factor and I know we'll end up losing more than I'd like..so why throw more money away?I was nervous how compatible these really were with Lego since the base plate I ordered is Lego...but they work perfectly. The bag has a nice arrangement of different sizes...My only complaint is 500 pieces really isn't as much as an inexperienced Lego owner like myself would think..Well definitely order more soon.

Work very well with Legos. Can't even tell the difference when they are mixed in with the Legos. 8 yr old daughter loves them!
My 8 year old daughter loved that I was able to buy her so many legos this year. Well, build bricks. They work perfect with her Legos. She doesn't even notice the difference and they are all now mixed with the Legos. The Lego kits are starting to become way too expensive and my daughter loves creating different things with Legos. So we will still buy different kits every once in a while. But will definitely be buying more Building Bricks for her and for when my son becomes old enough to play with legos.

They work great !!!
I brought my son more of these building bricks we have brought them in the past. They are just like lego, We bought him a lego table also & these differently fit perfect and snap together with all of his others. Very good product for the price. I personally don't see any difference in these and other higher competitors products. Defiantly stick with this brand from now on and save the $

Just... okay.
I bought these so my son and I could build bigger projects together. These are good for small building and add-in pieces to go with your Legos. However when you try to build something medium to large size these bricks become an issue because the pieces start popping out of place throwing your whole structure off. REALLY annoying when you're near the end of a building project and it starts falling apart because the pieces won't stay together. At that point you'll end up junking the thing you'd spent so long building. It's an issue with the blocks, not me, for sure. Also my bag was marked "for sizing only" which I can only assume was something for factory use. I have no idea if this made any difference for the quality of the bricks. I should also mention that the super thin long pieces all ended up getting tossed out. Not because of the breakage issue other people mentioned but because they were too warped to use. When I tried to use them they just wouldn't stay locked in and seemed bent. Bottom line, I should have saved my money and saved up for more official Lego brand blocks. As a kid I never had issues with them. I do appreciate what this manufacturer is trying to do with cost savings. Legos are too expensive! There are some issues that need to be fixed with these however.
