Apera Instruments Premium Series EC8500 Portable Handheld Conductivity Meter Kit

100% my new daily driver. I can now formallyrecommend Apera Instruments. Blue lab has always been awful,we all know that. Hanna has been far too inconsistent. I havepurchased countless probes that come out of the box withcompletely dried up calibration solution.Clearly they care a lot about the customer experience as the penstyle includes bottles with a fill line for the calibration solution,and obviously most importantly, a fully filled probe store solutioncap.For home growers, the pen style is awesome. For commercialgrowers, it's also very versatile and useful for checking pH andEC of small batches of mixes like when preparing clone feedsolution.This bigger meter (PC8500) is a lot more like my Ohaus meter inthat it is happy to accept any of the many different probes theysell. Dissolved oxygen, redox/ORP, and obviously conductivityand pH. I also need the remote probe style for measuring myparameters in deep tanks, which the pen style meter is not idealfor.This is not a paid or compensated post, I paid my own money forthese meters and can now without bias confidently recommendthem to anyone looking to GTFO of Hanna or Bluelab withoutbreaking the bank.FYI there is a handheld meter like the one pictured at a muchlower price point that is more basic in features, but still has EC/pH probes, still multi point calibration, etc. I chose this one for itsversatility in probe selection.

I'm not sure if there is an issue with the internal calibration or what but this pH meter does not work. I recalibrate it constantly and numbers are still inconsistent with other pH meters.
