Great price for a great product
Excellent! Can't beat them for the money! I reinforce mine with Gaphers tape and they last just as long as Promark and Vic Firth. Bamboo gives good attack on the cymbals. Thanks for the deal!

amazingly good, and half the price…
This is following up my previous review: As I and others have discovered, the black plastic binder does want to slip off. Also as others have stated, they sound good and seem to hold up better. My solution was a bead of clear silicone under the edge of the band. Manufacturers should note this flaw and use better quality shrink wrap.

Solid stick with loose band
I usually buy the Vic Firth sticks from a music site, but the price on these is good so gave them a try. They're pretty solid but the adjustable band at the top is a little loose and slips a lot. Easily tightened with a better rubber band, but it can be a little frustrating. Good deal for the cost though.

a must have for drummers
Great if you want to play softly - lighter than sticks but heavier than brushes. Also great for latin beats that use a lot of tom tom playing, so not overpowering the music.

Cheaper alternative to Lightning Rods!
Great quality and the same style, size, design, and functionality as the Lightning Rods at a fraction of the price. A great alternative to a more expensive product.

Great Stick That Falls Apart Quickly
These fell apart faster than similar sticks made by different brands. I enjoyed them for the few performances before they fell apart.

Great Rods!
If you go through a little time and effort these rods are a good buy! I reinforced the butt end and the fulcrum part of the rods with black electrical tape. I then cut off the original sleeves with a razor blade and ran another single band of electrical tape where the original sleeves once were (The original sleeves fell off in no time). I finished off with 2 O-Rings on the top and bottom of the electrical tape sleeve. With the electrical tape and O-Rings and 4 pairs of these rods you’re looking at 1 pair of Pro Mark Hot Rods/Thunder Rods. No disrespect to the Hot Rods, I like them as well, butt pound for pound, I’ll keep buying these and doing the same thing. I like the feel of these rods. With the smaller diameter rods, but more of them, I get can get a pretty nice roll out of them considering they’re rods. I can practice at much lower volumes with a different playing experience. These are a no brainer for me!

Great for drummers where a lighter sound is required
I have used these kind of bamboo sticks for years. It's a simple product, bamboo reeds wrapped in shrink tubing with a plastic dust cap on the end. If these shake loose, I reheat the tubing, or re glue the bottom on or use gaffers tape. These are prefect for acoustic venues or where a lighter sound is required.

I like that these were sent to me in under 24hrs and they’re a fraction of the price of Vic firth’s.

Nice weight and touch

Great set of sticks for the price. The black grip near the tip of the sticks slides upwards towards the tip the more you use them.
