Gerbing 12V Panel Mounted Port

Both ends are the correct size for 12 volt Heated Gear and Gear Controllers. This is very robust and makes an awesome Flush Mount Installation.

After 18 years of riding, this addition has made dealing with heated gear cables and ease of controller access I've ever had. I mounted in the mid-frame heat deflector of my Road Glide and then used their coiled cable with the 90 degree male plug. Everything lays flat so no mishaps with a cable/plug sticking out to get busted off from accidental brush of a leg. Just drill the small hole and plug into the pigtail from the battery.

So this works great, let's start with that. I drilled a hole into my wind deflectors, well actually two holes as I had two of these to install. They do work great, I no longer have the harness wire just flopping around somewhere, and I mounted these within easy reach. Now for the one knock against these, and that has to do with the rubber "stopper" that is attached. I had these installed for about a month when one morning I pulled the rubber piece out so I could plug in. I didn't realize that the piece that goes into the socket had broken off and was stuck inside. Couldn't figure out why I couldn't plug in, finally got off the bike and looked, to discover it was indeed broken and stuck inside. Fortunately I had another port and plugged in and went on my way. The bottom line is that this works great, but don't expect the rubber piece to last very long. This is the only reason I give this product four starts instead of five.

Nice cable but the dust cap is made of the incorrect material. it cracks when it flexes and will break off entirely over time. Now i have to source another and shell out more money and time to deal with this. This is unacceptable for something of this price.

This is exactly what I need in order to plug/hook up my heated gear on the motorcycle.

Nice product and easily mounts. However, bending over the cap to plug into the hole and the strap cracked apart. This was just after install, I haven't even used it yet! Could have been a softer rubber for the bending motion. Will be nice to plug my gear into.
