My favorite tent ever
My reason for replacing my old faithful 3-man dome was that I needed something that I could pop up quickly - possibly in limited space - and is waterproof.I've used this one on three separate trips now (more on them in a minute) and it fits my needs perfectly. I used it on the ground, not with the matching cot provided by the same manufacturer. If you've been shopping for instant tents on Amazon or elsewhere you'll see many that fit into two general categories: 1) spring-loaded ones you can literally toss and they open all by themselves, and 2) cabin-style tents that raise in the middle. The Teton tent is in a class all by itself. The two standard designs didn't appeal because there didn't seem to be any air space between the fly (if any) and/or the fly wasn't very big. I don't know about you, but there are few things I like less than waking up on a tent that's gotten condensation on the outside overnight that instantly leaks through as soon as you touch it by accident. Ugh. NASTY.I liked that this one has a fly that stands off the body of the tent (the external poles provide air space) but there's an inch or two gap at the bottom that lets fresh air in. Most of the negative reviews here are about the fact that the fly doesn't go all the way to the ground, which I don't quite understand - I don't care for a stuffy tent, myself.Trips #1 and #3 I used it for were near the ocean, and #2 was in the mountains. The first night I used it I woke up to drizzle, but inside the tent was bone-dry. I was thrilled. The night I spent in the mountains was colder than I like (in the 40s) but I was quite surprised at how cold air rushed in when I unzipped the tent body. Turns out that the mesh the main tent holds out cold air pretty efficiently, which I hadn't expected.I haven't yet used it on a warm enough night to want to do away with the fly, but I'm looking forward to that. It should be a nice middle ground between sleeping rough & being enclosed.Pros: mostly covered above, but I want to add that it looks very well-made. It goes up quite quickly - the tent body in about a minute, plus another 2-3 for the fly. The stuff sack is of good size and it's easy to slide the tent & fly into it, something that's been a problem with previous tents I've had.Cons: as shown in the photos it's of standard bathtub construction, but the bottom isn't reinforced at all. I wouldn't use it without a tarp, ground cloth, or cot underneath unless the ground is very even and soft. (The 2-person fits perfectly on a 5'x7' tarp with the pegs through the corners.)I wouldn't consider it a backpacking tent, but it's light for car camping. Of course that comes from using lightweight nylon, and I can't speak to its durability yet.It was just a little tricky to put up the first time and the lock at the top didn't fit in until the third time I put it up, but obviously it stayed up without it - otherwise I'd be writing a nasty review about it instead of a rave!Overall, it has exceeded my expectations, and I'm very, very happy with it, especially considering its very modest price.EDITED TO ADD: I've used it on 7 or 8 trips now. Still adore it, still looks brand new. Here's the memorable thing that makes me update this review.I had a chance to pitch it at the beach right above the high tide line. How could I possibly resist?Until... about 10 pm the wind picked up. It was blowing HARD.Decided - reluctantly - that I should move to a more sheltered spot. And just as soon as I got out, the darned thing STARTED TO BLOW AWAY. With all my gear still in it.I had to grab it by the top and drag it back into the trees. 🤣No damage. Still looks brand-new. Have I mentioned that I love this tent?

Recommended to me by another scout, and I recommend it to you
Perfect for small backpacking trips. Super light, super easy to set up, and pretty well protected from the elements. Gets fairly warm at night, so it’s definitely ready for colder temperatures. Fits perfectly on top of a cot, so if you are lodging and want to avoid this thing also works as a simple bug net.Tent is waterproof, just don’t leave your bags up against the side walls in ridiculous ways. Has already lasted me multiple camp outs, and backpacking trips.

Perfect fit
Simplest tent I’ve owned, great quality. I’m 6’4 and fit perfectly.

Tight but works
I got this as I needed a small tent for an outdoor overnight event. It took minutes to deploy and very easy. However, this is VERY small. Good cover for sleeping, but dont expect to keep anything inside with you. I honestly shouldve gotten the 2 person but it did the trick for the one night. Otherwise no complaints. Headroom when laying down leaves a LOT to be desired

Great cot tent.
I’ve had the one man cot tent for several years but camping with 2 medium size dogs is a bit crowded, I like it so much I got the 2 man tent and absolutely love it, the 2 doors are a game changer when is hot and is very roomy. The only thing I’d wish is that Teton would make the long rainfly (sold separately) with square doors that could be made into awnings as it is it rained heavily and not a drop got in but is not very comfortable being inside lying on the cot for several hours during the day, the awning would give the opportunity to sit on the cot or place a small chair under it waiting for the rain to stop, otherwise I have no complaints. As said before, monsoon rains were present and not a drop got in, there was no condensation either with my 2 dogs and myself. I got the accessories too which makes it even better.

Quick, Reliable with a little rain & wind
I took this on its first 14 day fire assignment hoping not to have to use it but we got rained on off and on the last 5 nights. Setup was perfectly fast, and the locking mechanism some reviewers have had trouble with did just fine for me. It got a bit windy one of the nights, and there aren’t guylines on one side of the tent so it was a bit noisy, but for a “use in a pinch” situation, especially with the price, I think it did great. It’s not super roomy, which I was also fine with to save packing space, but if you’re over 5’7 you should go with a longer tent cause this ain’t for you. Overall, good buy. I think if it was dumping rain AND windy it wouldn’t hold up great but in all other conditions I’ll sing its praises.
