Thin pad but good for what I needed it for
This rug pad is pretty thin, it’s similar to what they used to put under fruit at the grocery store. Our front door is very close to the ground so I had to pick a really thin rug to go in front of it, which is a bummer because it doesn’t feel luxurious. I wanted a rug pad that added a little softer step, made the rug feel like higher quality and that also kept the rug from sliding around, but one that also didn’t add a lot of height because our door would bunch it up every time we opened it. I put this down today and trimmed it and overall I would say it’s doing what I needed. Do I wish the rug and the pad were thicker? Yes. But given the constraints of our door, it’s helping me make the best of the situation. I ordered it slightly larger than what I needed and it cut easily to fit my rug.

No more sliding rugs
I ordered this product because we recently switched flooring from carpet to vinyl plank. We purchased a rug in our living room but found that our dogs could not jump up on the couch with us because when they launched themselves the rug slid further away. This was the perfect solution. After only a couple of days the dogs are 100% confident when they jump again. In addition, when our auto vacuum runs it rolls right over the rug without any issues. The layer also added a bit of padding which makes the rug more comfortable for the animals when they lay down on them as well. The only issue we have is that my partner did not measure the rug properly so it is slightly larger than the rug. However, it is very easy to trim so it's an easy fix.

Needs to air out - easy to trim
Works well. Great instructions. NOTE! Bubble side down - flat side up to grip the floor. Upon opening you will notice an unpleasant odor and somewhat slimy tackiness. Recommend putting this outside to off gas for at least 12 hours before bringing it in. Slightly oversized so you can trim to fit. I recommend lining up two edges of your rug and overlapping pad by 1 inch and then trimming the other two edges down before readjusting to cover pad completely. This will give you a nice fit without having to constantly adjust to cover exposed padding. Super easy to trim - you can glide scissor much like wrapping paper as long as your rug is holding down edge.

Quality product for a reasonable price
True to size and well packaged. Some other people reported a smell, I did not notice anything. We have now bought several and they really keep the rugs in place. They were recommended by a flooring guy for our hardwood floors as the backs of some carpets are rough and over time can damaged the floor. The way they are packaged says something about the company in my opinion. They are tightly wrapped and once you unfold them them they are cut evenly and true to size.

A necessity under certain rugs
Grateful to have discovered this rug gripper.I recently replaced a rug with an indoor/outdoor carpet at my 89 year old mom’s house. It became apparent that the rug I had chosen skid across the floor easily, so I searched for a fix and this is it! I was able to cut it to size, it gripped to the floor and rug which gave me peace of mind and the dogs are comfortable with the extra padding it provides. It’s not cushiony, it just softens your step.Mission accomplished.

As advertised, not as practical or sanitary as I would like!
They came sealed in plastic so you know they are brand new and both were as advertised regarding make & size. So far they work reasonably well, though my mats still move & I have to correct them often enough that it can be annoying at times - I wish I could somehow get them stuck on the back of my mats and then it would be perfect! The only reason I don't find a way to do that is because the manufacturer's label made it seem as if you couldn't put these in the wash, so if I permanently stuck these to my mats, I wouldn't be able to wash them like I like. They do prevent the small area rugs I bought from the designer Natural Life from sliding about so readily as they were before, and that's the main reason I ordered these: I'm disabled and have terrible trouble with balance & coordination, which has only gotten worse with time, and I fell really bad on several occasions because of the mats slipping, so I needed to find a solution — I love my mats as they are very pretty BoHo rugs from a beloved designer and typically more expensive than the norm (I guess it's irony that they are designer with a more expensive price tag yet they didn't think of adding some traction on the bottom🤨). The products are actually a little too large I think so I'm going to cut a little off and see if that helps too - they are easy to resize as the manufacturer mentioned on the packaging slip, as all you need is scissors or an exacto knife. Overall they help prevent slips and falls, but you do need to correct them often if you keep the original size of the product and your mats are the same size based on my experience with them for over a month; I will update my review after cutting them down slightly if that improves things so they don't always end up sticking out the side of my area rugs - obviously, I don't like that look and I keep having to change it! It's my only complaint. They do come very fast and are a reasonable price for what you receive & compared to competitors. I just wish the mats wouldn't keep slipping off them - the product themselves never move so it grips the floors perfectly, just not the mats. You have to be sure to follow the instructions so that you have the product's one side laying on the floor – perhaps that's another reason why the mats keep slipping off, as the two sides are different with one having more traction to stick on the floor than the other side that the mats lay against; perhaps they should've made it the same on both sides so it also holds the mat firm against it. I also don't like that per the manufacturer, there doesn't seem to be a way to clean these affectively, and they basically say on the packaging slip that eventually they will have to be replaced; they catch a lot of debris and it takes a bit to go outside and shake it all out because it sticks on there pretty good. I'm not sure if it's a sanitary as I would like overall, and I still wish for a better solution. As for now, I'll try giving these a chance as I have been. So far, I'm sightly satisfied but not perfectly so and I hope cutting them slightly may do the trick with regards to slipping mats. I will update on that soon. But I think it is important for people to know that they are not a permanent solution, they aren't the easiest to clean and they tend to stick perfectly to the floor but not perfectly on the mats/area rugs so that they constantly shift off a bit, exposing the product underneath.

Thin pad but the rug stays put.
I bought this as a pad for the jute rug I also bought. There are hardwood floors and I did not want slipping and sliding. It lays down flat without any buckling or having to keep moving it around. For such a reasonable price, it works perfectly. The rug has not moved. This was a good buy.

Please supervise the contractor, read your contract before you get stuck with it.
These are okayed for the dratted "luxury" vinyl floor. They are easily pieced for runners. Using Scotch painting tape to hold the togetherSo maybe not be too matchee matchee. Get the bigger size and ? save a little?Ridiculous this cheap floor needs babied and extra cost for water proof layer which must be applied between the non slip and the rug. And you still have to take flight to save the floor because waterproof does not mean what it used to- and no vinyl or rubber allowed on the floor for fear of discoloring. I'm so glad I have these dull floors. NOT.
