Callebaut Belgian Dark Couverture Chocolate Semisweet Callets, 54.5% - 5.5 Lbs

These Callebaut dark chocolate callets are incredible. The flavor is rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced — not too bitter and not too sweet. They melt beautifully for baking, dipping, and ganache. The 5.5 lb bag is huge but totally worth it for the quality. This is professional-grade chocolate at home. Highly recommend!

This chocolate is my favorite to use in a variety of different recipes. Whether it is use for melting or baking, the chocolate adds the right taste. High quality chocolate well worth the price. I even use in place of Tradional chocolate chips.

I highly recommend this product! I use this chocolate for most of my pastries- has good flavor, texture is firm and silky when needed! It’s a little pricey but I believe/feel that you get what you pay!

Delicious dark chocolate. Made several successful confections with this. Get the tempering right and it will be amazing.

The callets (chips) are a delight by the handful, to make hot chocolate, as an addition to brownies, or as the chips in chocolate chip cookies. I have made thousands of truffles over the years using Callebaut chocolate and never had a complaint. It doesn't get any better.

Awesome taste and easy to use.

I recently got back from a trip to Belgium. The chocolate there was unreal. I had never had anything so good. I tasted a waffle with melted chocolate on it and just knew that I was going to have to re-create that taste when I came home. Looking for European chocolate in my area produced mostly small, eating chocolates, and I wanted something that I could melt and bake with. These were pricey, and I was kind of nervous about ordering them in the summer because I was afraid they would be melted. To my surprise, they arrived in a little cooler bag with an ice pack, without one melted chip. Now to taste. I was worried these wouldn’t live up to the hype. As soon as I sliced open the bag the entire room filled with the smell of a magical Chocolate shop. Remember how when you were a kid you’d step into the candy store and that smell of lovely sugary sweetness would hit you when you opened the door? It was like that. I tasted one and it just melted in my mouth so deliciously that I had to close my eyes and say a deep Mmmmmmmmm. The flavor is complex. Fruity. Multi layered. It’s not your average candy bar from the store. This is the real thing. This tastes exactly like what I had in Belgium. The bag is over 5 pounds – so a little bit heavier than a bag of flour. It completely filled a gallon Ziploc bag for me. I’m just over the moon that I can finally get chocolate here with the quality I found in Europe. It’s pricey, but it’s definitely worth it. Use this when you’re baking to impress. Don’t waste its greatness on Frenemies. They don’t deserve it.
