Excellent heat protection
Odie, my 35-pound cocker-poodle mix, was really suffering from asphalt heat on hot days. His normally great discipline would completely break down in parking lots, where he would desperately seek shade among the cars, or, if no shade was available, he would literally run in circles until I could get the car door open, and then he'd fly into the car as fast as he could jump. His paws would be red and tender, which he would then make worse by licking and chewing on them. My first order of Medium sized shoes were too small and had to be returned (no hassles) -- the reviews and the vendor's information is correct: order a size that will be a bit larger than, not equal to, the measured paw size of your dog (Odie has water spaniel webbed paws, a bit large for a 35-lb dog). Once the second order of Large size shoes arrived, we tried them out on a couple of hot days on hot asphalt. What a difference! Although Odie had been conditioned to expect a burn, and had entered the hot parking lot with some trepidation at first, there was no more panicky running around. He was obviously comfortable in the shoes on hot pavement. You could almost see the surprise on Odie's face. We've had them for only a couple of days, so i can't say anything about durability yet . The shoes do stay on his feet -- I think the trick here is to ensure that his toe nails are right up against the inside toe edge of the shoe, and then tighten the Velcro straps. Both Odie and I are very happy with this solution. Bonus: the shoes make a very pleasant "clopping" noise, like a miniature horse.

Breathable shoes good for swimming
I bought these shoes for my dog to swim in a pool that has a liner. The shoes work great once you get them strapped well. The quality is good, I just wish the Velcro grip was longer. I had to wrap the elastic bands so tight that the Velcro barely met the other side. My dog’s big paws could not fit in a smaller size. Where the black cuff and the blue part of the shoe meet is not as flexible as the rest which is why my dogs paws wouldn’t fit into a smaller size. These would not be good for walking on concrete, the soles would tear up. There is already a small hole around a seam after wearing in a pool and running around on grass/a wooden deck over two 3 hour trips (6 hours worn total). I am still happy with the purchase because I can stitch the hole no problem and the price was cheap.

So-so. Stiff boots so my dog slides them right off in one step. Woundn't stay in with rubber bands. have to return.
My 15 lb cockapoo refuses to wear these boots. Somehow, she also walks right out of them even if I cinch the Velcro tight. They are very stiff. I think my dog does not like how stiff they are and that contributes to them coming right off. If your dog is in anyway hesitant to wear boots, avoid these dog boots. I am returning them, even though I paid extra shipping to get then here in 24 hours. I think if the boots were not so stiff, the problems would be resolved. If your dog is amenable to wearing boots, these seem okay for the price. The tops have breathable mesh, whish is nice. The bottoms are kind of stiff plastic, but it does appear to be non-skid. I wish I could offer advise on size, but I just cant tell. I got size small after posting question. Paw 2 inches wide. Paw is longer than 2 inches in length. I keep looking at the boots and think they look like the correct size. But the stiffness makes them slide off like a shoe horn.ADD: Seller suggested I try using hair ties to hold the boots on. I had none so I tried rubber bands and masking tape. Nothing worked. The bottoms are stiff and slick and the dog slides them right off no matter how tightly I cinch the Velcro. They won't stay on me cockapoo's feet for 30 seconds. These are not dogs boots. Have to return. Disappointed I paid extra for overnight shipping.

Game changer, and very good quality!
These were just what I was looking for! My 15 yr old flat coated retriever was having a really tough time on tile and hardwood floors. Aside from having trouble with her legs, she's actually a very bright happy, and energetic senior, so it was really sad to see her afraid to walk around. I wanted traction shoes that were more sturdy than socks but not hard plastic. And these really fit the bill. The velcro is perhaps a little long, and I wish there were a way to place it a little differently, but not sure how they'd design that...on her front feet, the velcro strap sits right on her dew claw. She seemed comfortable wearing these, and immediately got her pep and confidence back. Even though she didn't seem uncomfortable with these on her front feet, it just kind of nagged at me, so I basically just used them on her back feet which seems to work just fine. The other thing that is a major game changer are those paw pad stickers. They do come off if they go on walks a lot or are often in wet grass, but seriously worth it for not having to take shoes off and on all the time. We use both the stickers and these shoes regularly, and those two things have made a world of difference.

Decent quality but way too small for my giant breed dogs.

nice idea
nice idea but they are very hard to get on your dog. We have winter boots we got our dog and they go right on.

Amazing post-surgery healing aid
I bought these to help my dog heal his paw pad after his paw pad split in half playing fetch. He had to have surgery and this product made this whole process substantially easier and more comfortable for my dog. He did not need a cone and let his wound heal. What would normally be a 2 month healing process for this sort of injury ended should end up being about 30 days until he is fully healed. I will absolutely keep a set of these available at all times now. After my dog tore out his sutures the day after surgery, this product made a world of difference for his comfort level and healing process. For $20, these are a steal. The visit after his surgery cost me about $200 since these had not yet arrived, so this is a no-brainer for anyone in a similar situation.Thank you to the company/person who created these. My dog’s comfort levels have been vastly improved with this product.
