This freezer is a good solid little backup to have. We've been using it since we first bought it and plugged it in over 3 months ago. So far so good. Its the perfect size for our kitchen, it fits nicely in a corner, and its easy to move to another location if necessary. The stainless steel color exterior is easy to clean and looks nice too. This little freezer keeps everything truly frozen and runs efficiently. The lock is also an added bonus too.

Unit has worked perfectly since I got it 2 months ago. Constant temperature and very quiet, almost silent operation. Nice quality finish. Very satisfied. I also own a Whynter portable air conditioner that has worked flawlessly for 3 years.

We bought the Whynter upright freezer to add some extra storage, and it’s been exactly what we needed. The size is perfect—small enough to fit easily in our space but with plenty of room inside for bulk items and meal prep. It cools quickly, runs quietly, and keeps everything consistently frozen. Simple, reliable, and a great value if you need additional freezer capacity.

I chose this particular freezer because of the Energy Star rating. After reading the instruction book and safety warnings, I decided to install it under the counter in a 24 inch wide cabinet with the doors removed. It fits like a custom order. After waiting 4 hours for the refrigerant to settle, I plugged it in and set it to MAX as per instructions. After 3 hours it had reached a temperature of -10 degrees fahrenheit plenty cold enough, perhaps even a bit too cold for my ice cream products. It is very quiet but if you listen carefully you'll be able to hear the compressor kick on and off, but you really need to be standing right next to it to hear anything so for me it definitely passes the quiet test. We are fully off grid so energy consumption played a big role in choosing this freezer. According to the handbook it draws 75 watts when the compressor is running which is for our needs great! I will keep an eye on it and will report back should the energy usage change. The freezer arrived in perfect condition (which was a concern of mine after reading so many reviews). My only surprise/complaint was the color of the "stainless steel" door. It looks almost bronze to me and it certainly isn't even close to matching the other stainless steel appliances in our kitchen, or the other pics in various reviews on Amazon. I have written Whynter customer support to see if I am missing something. The product seems well made and as long as it continues to keep my food frozen I am very satisfied.

Easy to set up. Used level but did not need. Live in a condo and needed extra freezer space because I bake a lot and was getting pests from wheat products. Also use for cookie and frozen dog food storage. Product worked great after suggested 4-hour rest. Turned on and used immediately after ice cubes froze. Unbelievably quiet in my workout room. Can’t even hear it

Great freezer, small footbrint, and reasonably affordable. Bought the 3cu ft one to replace the Whynter 2.1 cu ft freezer that is still working after 5 years. The new one has the extra space I need, and I expect it to last just as long as the old one. So far 2 for 2 on Whynter products!

This fits a very specific need for me. I wanted an under desk freezer at work to store frozen meals. I did not need a fridge at all, just a freezer, and this was perfect for that. It has been running for a little over a year now and is still working great. No issues, no complaints, and it does exactly what I bought it for.
