This one is more expensive than many others that are available, but there's a reason for it. I got this for my grandson's high school football. He previously got his kneecap dislocated during play, and the doctor prescribed this particular model for use during play. He's able to use it comfortably, and it's unrestrictive. I tried several others for him on the other knee, and none were as good as this one, so I got the matching one (this one, as they are customized for Right and Left), and he's happy with the support and flexibility these provide. He's not complained yet, so I think we found a winner.

Well made, good value. Will it work? The jury is out for me. But whether it works for me or not, may not apply to you. My orthopedist recommended this and help me get the right fit. Satisfied so far, but I don't think it's gonna be a wonder cure.

Went from a large to an extra large because it was too small. It’s still too small to be comfortable. The hinges dig into the sides of my knee quickly. Overall better then most I’ve tried.

I use this as preventative support for my knee so it doesn't get sore when I play golf. It provides good support and flexibility. I just purchased a large instead of X-large because after the X-large lost a little elasticity it would slide down a bit so I would have to keep tightening it. The Large is a little snug but I keep stretching it and bending the plastic hinge brace to make it more comfortable until it stretches a little more. I am pretty sure it will work out. I've been wearing this brace for years now.

My knee hurts less than it did when I first posted on this so I decided to try this knee brace on again today to see how it felt. It’s much more comfortable than it originally was. I’m not sure what the difference is but note it provides very different support than the knee braces I’ve been wearing for the last couple of weeks. Do your homework and wear what is most comfortable. Ive worn this brand for years for skiing after a volleyball injury. I’ve just tried it on again today so I don’t know how to otherwise rate it yet. There’s no coverage over the kneecap and I’ve been wearing a brace that has that these last two weeks. I’ll see how it works. I have the brand four stars because the knee braces I have used for skiing for years work well to stabilize my knee. This is a no. There’s a flat metal piece that digs in under your knee. There’s an odd shaped piece on this as well

This is the best brace that we found for our son after his knee patella displacement injury playing basketball. Since his injury about 2 years ago, we have tried different knee braces as a prevention device for our son who is very active in basketball and baseball. This is no question the best brace we have tried. With other braces, his knee has been 'tweeked' from time to time. Since finding this brace a year ago, no patella tweeks or issues have reoccurred. Our son trusts this brace, and has long since regained his confidence to play full-speed in his sports. When adjusted properly (takes a few times), this brace is non-obstructive to the required range-of-motion to play full-speed. This brace is high-quality construction and lasts very well. In our experience, the average life with heavy (daily, sweaty) use is about 3-4 months before the velcro attachments become weak. Under this condition, the velcro attachments can be reinforced with athletic tape to extend the life of the brace. Other braces we have tried only provided about 1 month of useful life with heavy use. After a year of using this brace exclusively, we are going on our 3rd brace. However, it is the best solution we have found as a relatively cheap 'insurance' policy to prevent another patella displacement injury during active sports. Highly recommended.

As at least a few other reviewers have said, these run small. According to the official measurements, i should be in a large per them that is: 21-23.5 Thigh, 15-17" knee, and 16-18 calf. mine are 23.25" Thigh, 17" knee, and 16.5" calf. I measured twice before buying, and even just measured again. for calf and thigh, you measure 6" down and up from the center of the knee--I even marked it with a pen so i'd get that right, so I know my measurements are right. Order up at LEAST one size up--if your thigh and knee are close to their larger end, like mine are, you might want to go 2 sizes up, because even the next size up is pushing it, for me. If you're closer to their smaller end, or in the center, one size up should be sufficient. This item is NOT returnable, whether amazon's page says it is or not. I will update with more info regarding fit and stability after I've used it for a bit but I felt that the sizing info was important to share immediately.

I bought this for my wife since she has been saying her knee clicks when going up a hill on her morning runs. She has patella instability and so figured a brace would help. I know DonJoy has a solid reputation in the Ortho buisness so I figured I would get something I know will work. The brace fits snug and we found it is pretty good with their stated measurements for their sizes. Take time to measure before ordering! My wife says her knee has stopped clicking, knee feels more stable when running and likes the overall use. She does not wear it all the time, just on her runs so not sure what the full day wearing experience is. She does not have arthritis so not sure how well this product would benifit anyone using it for that purpose. Overall DonJoy makes a solid product that works well for patella instability in our case.

Si è rotta una delle due fibbie di velcro appena tolta dalla confezione. Reso effettuato senza problemi. Impossibile giudicare efficacia del prodotto.

It is too small for 11 year old and not eligible for return, waste of money

Mi sono state consigliate dall'ortopedico che mi ha operato al ginocchio, su di me non hanno funzionato.. io gioco a basket e purtroppo sono scomode per fare attività di questo genere.
