have an old monitor, which i wanted to connect to my laptop. So i bought this. It does the job very nicely, there was an issue with windows, but on Ubuntu, it works seamlessly.

It didnt work first time, I thought my laptop/monitor is not compatible thats why. But after 2 days it worked suddenly when I checked and realised it is compatible with my laptop & external monitor. Then it stopped working from the next day. I tried it on another laptop, it didnt work there too.. Waste product Edit: I managed to repair it using my soldering kit. It wasn't working initially because one of the soldering joints was not soldered properly on its board. Now I’m using it for last 6 months without any issues. Cord/Connector is durable and quality is good

It's a very time or money waste item, after purchase it's not working and there is no replacement, before buy thinking 🤔 it multiple times for saving your future time.
