AMMENDING MY REVIEW because I think I was wrong to assume that the fussier designs should be tagged as decorative. I see there are many, many other listings that leave it unspecified. my disappointment remains, but I can't fairly fault the seller. I should have asked. // Here is my original review: I am very disappointed. I have specific reasons for wanting the totally plain, classic jars--NOT the "decorative" ones with fussy fruit designs. I chose to spend this much and order these jars, despite cheaper listed "decorative" ones, because these were clearly pictured as plain, and the listing did NOT say decorative. So now I have a very expensive box full of fruity jars which don't serve my purpose. We all know the rigamarole around sending such a large package back. I will give these to someone as a gift. And resume my search for PLAIN ones.

Extremely bad packaging, one was broken and cut my finger. No bubble wrap or anything between jars, every jar was scratched from knocking between each other. The jars were good if they did a proper packaging.

Please don't buy this. I thought that mine would arrive fine despite the other reviews saying theirs didn't and well... One jar is completely broken. The ones that aren't are badly scratched up. The typical print (jar logo, numbers) is very blurry and the glass is less smooth than I'm used too - wondering if this is even an original. At this point you might as well buy from IKEA.

You know what's worse than paying extortionist prices for ball wide mouth mason jars? - having 90% of said mason jars badly scuffed. I'm not sure if the seller realizes this, but people generally pay a premium for the ball branded mason jars for their aesthetic appeal, which is hampered when the logo has been sanded down due to friction with the other jars. Now slight scuffing here and there as well as minor imperfections are expected, but not to this degree. I recently ordered ball mason jars from two other sellers, one of which being Uline, which not only put at least 4 inches of foam peanuts on all sides of their shipment, but also labeled the box as "fragile" to let the courier know to treat box with care, and none of the jars were damaged as a result. This seller on the other hand put about one quarter inch of bubble wrap padding, without any label indicating the contents were fragile/glass. I'm very disappointed in my order and encourage anyone reading this to shop elsewhere.
