Café Royal Lungo Forte 36 Capsules for Nespresso Coffee Machine - 8/10 Intensity - UTZ certified Coffee Capsules recyclable Aluminium

I was a bit hesitant buying these capsules after reading the varied reviews, but I decided to take a chance - and I’m glad I did. “What’s the worst that could happen” I thought? I was sold on the whole Nespresso experience after a brief stop in a hotel in Zug, Switzerland way back in August 2018. I didn’t rush out to buy one as I already had a filter coffee machine and a Tassimo, plus a French press, etc. I treated myself to a new Nespresso Essenza recently, and I’m discovering the wide assortment of pods. These decaf capsules are a decent alternative to their Nespresso equivalent. I think they’re ideal if you don’t like your espresso too potent. You still get a reasonable aroma. I think they’re excellent value for money.

I usually buy Nespresso capsules but I wanted to try a different brand without paying too much. I'm glad to say that the coffee is very good - It's not bitter, it's not weak, it leaves a balanced taste in the mouth, it has a nice crema, and the price is right. My only issue would be with the packaging. It came in a little paper box which resulted in some of the capsules getting bent on the way. Luckily most of the capsules are fine, but they need to secure them better in the future.

My partner and I are sensitive to caffeine. We have tried so many decaff coffees but always found them a bit too bitter. We think this coffee has a lovely taste. Not bitter at all and doesn't irritate our stomach. Compatible with our nespresso machine. Good value for money. We have purchased over 5 times now as these are the only pods we personally use.

The coffee is quite pleasant - not the best, but certainly I've tried many worse. But the bugbear for me is I'm on the second box of aluminium pods and many don't work. Either no coffee makes it through into the cup, or only a little and the rest of the water leaks somehow out the bottom of the machine. The aluminium pods to slide into the machine better than many of the plastic pods do, but as the water is applied by the machine they come out crushed see picture. This morning three pods did this in a row, so the resulting coffee was strong and bitter and had to be discarded, needing a 4th pod for a fresh cup which worked perfectly. I'll be cancelling my subscription as having to return a part box of pods each month is a pain.

Good value for money, taste good, it's a bit bitter. Fits perfectly in the coffee machine. Black gold.

Pros: The coffee tastes very good having the right strength for my taste. Aluminium packaging meaning recyclable even with Nespresso capsule return programme. Aluminium also keeps the coffee aroma sealed very well inside the capsule comparing to the plastic ones. I would be careful of drinking from plastic containers anyway. Cons: Only one so far - sometimes there is a bit of water coming out of it when it starts the pour. The capsules I’ve received were in perfect condition hence I’m not sure what’s causing it. In my case that doesn’t impact much of the taste still hence the full 5 start rating.

Well I bought these and after some mixed reviews. I have to say these are the best I have tried. Flavour is great as a lungo size. Also tried as americano and is really smooth and rounded. I feel the problem with some of the reviews on here,is some people make ther drinks too large which make the drinks week . So they have very little flavour. Love these already and will be ordering more soon. Aluminium capsules win hands down .my nespresso expert does not like the plastic ones. Cafe royal keep up the good work of has paid off
