I bought this for a DYI fountain I made for my back yard. I purchased a smaller one from a local retailer but it didn’t have the upward power I needed for the fountain. This one is strong enough even on the lowest setting. I have been using this one for several days. Water flow is amazing and it handles the job on the lowest setting with ease. Solid built and powerful little unit. Highly recommend.

The pump works amazing for the capabilities that it is advertised under. I have a 10 gallon and 20 gallon tall aquariums that I do water changes on weekly and this accessory has reduced the time it takes to complete it by half. It will work well with any hydroponic system that isn’t too tall (over 9ft tall) and will stay consistent with water flow depending on the setting you prefer (controllable by the valve on the front of the pump). It loses the one star for me due to the fact there is no on and off control and no auto stop feature. This requires me to have my hand on the plug in the entire time I’m pumping water or I risk spillage and a lot of it due to the high power the pump produces. It also will burn out the motor if the pump is left running dry too long. These are all small things to me but overall it’s a product I use weekly and will continue to use daily!

So much better and cheaper than the "little giant" pump that was previously on our fountain. I went through little giants every year. And they kept getting more and more expensive every time I replaced one. These little pumps are much cheaper, smaller, and work great. I think the ratings are overly optimistic, so buy larger than you think. I replaced little giant with the vivosun 480. I had to turn it down a bit. It worked perfectly for over 2 years before I had a problem with my fountain filter. The fountain dried up and caused the pump to fail. I'll take it apart and see if anything can be done, but I think the motor simply overheated. Not a fault of the pump. At these low prices I'll just buy another. I could but several and still save money compared to little giant. I may try the 400, since the 480 was a bit much.

I ordered this to replace a failed pump in my bedroom AIO aquarium. It fits the space in the tank well, the included adapters allowed me to use it without changing any hoses, it pumps water decently, and it allowed me to reverse the flow in the tank from what the original pump provided. However, the listing says "ultra-quiet" and it is definitely NOT quiet. The included video lets you hear how loud it is. Because it is a constant steady hum it does sort of become white noise but it did bother us for several days before we got used to it and there are still nights it keeps me awake for a while.

This is a wonderful product and is a great value for your money. Pump is a durable plastic that you can use to drain or fill your aquarium. I bought this to help drain/fill a 55 gallon aquarium and it did its job superbly. At a medium setting it only took ten minutes to drain half of the tank. Being cautious since this was something I’d never used before but it didn’t let me down at all. It was so easy to just connect the hose I bought a 1/2” size and attached to one of three adapter pieces to the pump and dropped into aquarium. Then all I had to do was put hose out the door to drain and turned it on. The pump did all the rest. The pump comes with a long 8 foot long cord, and three adapter plugs. Great value for the money.
