Perfect, Reliable Replacement for Medical System Pump
While this NestEcho Laboratory Vacuum Filtration Pump is designed for laboratory use, I am using it for a critical personal application: as a replacement for the pump in the PureWick system. I am absolutely thrilled with the performance, small size and consistency, and it deserves every one of these five stars. Superior Performance and Reliability: This pump delivers reliable, adjustable suction that is perfect for the external catheter system. It has run consistently and flawlessly since I set it up, giving me the peace of mind I need, especially for overnight use. The consistency of the vacuum is actually better than the original unit it replaced. Quiet and Durable: One major advantage is the noise level. For a lab-grade pump, it is surprisingly quiet, which is essential when placed next to a bed for use all night. The build quality feels professional and sturdy, suggesting it will last a very long time. If you are looking for an effective, durable, and more affordable pump solution as a replacement for the PureWick system pump, this NestEcho unit is the answer. It's a high-quality, powerful, and reliable alternative that works perfectly for at-home catheter management. Highly recommended!

Unreliable, possible fire hazard.
I’ve had 3 of these now over the course of 5 months. The 1st I received is still running great. 2nd failed completely within a week, was puffing smoke. I returned it and received a replacement. The replacement all of a sudden today is working but extremely loud. The return window closed on August 20th (25). I need a replacement but will be looking at different options. Cheap & apparently from my experience you have a 30% chance of it lasting.

Nice Little Pump
This little unit works well. It is relatively quiet with a small footprint. It could use a bit more power, but it is serving my needs well. This one is a thumbs up for me.

Perfect Purewick Pump
I needed a Purewick system for my bedridden wife, but I didnt have $700 for a purewick system. I bought a $120 pump and a collection container with this pump as a backup. The $120 pump was loud and didnt work well, so I tried this one I had as a backup. Its quiet, just a little hum, and works great!. I bought another one of these as a backup and returned the $120 pump.

Good product
I bought this to use with the Purewick system and it worked, but one with more suction would be better for that purpose. The suction isn't strong or fast enough to stop leakage. I am sure it is a great product for the intended purpose. It ran continuosly for a 3 months. Wasn't needed after that so not sure how long it would have lasted.

Too weak for use.
This item is nowhere near strong enough to do a vacuum filtration. It wont even make a one liter flask pull a suction on your hand.

So far the pump works great!
My husband purchased this to make me an electric pen for diamond painting. I bought a kit that had the worst diamonds ever! I couldn't pick them up with my tweezers. I bought and returned an e pen made for diamond painting and it was awful bulky for me and for my Aunt. I like the newly made e pen he even put a time on it so I didn't have to worry about turning it off. He bought another pump and made my Auntie one - she's 89. So for this purpose I would say it works great!

Get what you pay for
It's a cheap vacuum pump - the pull is very weak. If you want more pull, spend more money.
